I went to a local gun show (maybe 30 vendors, kinda small)  made one pass, no joy, found XD 40's and 9's but no .45.

went a little slower the second pass and low and behold there it was  cooldude

now the trick is co-ordinating when I can pick it up. gotta give him 4-5 days (not counting weekends) notice so he can do the background check within the 3 days of pickup.

going to go shooting tomorrow, followed by a ride. and we'll see about some birthday fun  Evil

I can't remember what I got the wife for her 50th, but I'll remember what she gave me!!

You will have no regrets with this handgun. It's an accurate out of the box shooter. (mine is NOT the "M") I own and shoot many pistols and revolvers. This is my hands down favorite combat/defense pistol. My carry is now only this XD-.45 with 4" barrel or my Ruger LCP .380  I have not had any type of autoloader malfunctions with this gun. PERIOD. No hangfires, misfires, stovepipes, no feeding problems, no ejection problems. I have used different ammo and reloads, it eats everything, therefore making it the most reliable .45 my hands have ever had the pleasure to shoot. All I can say is, Your gonna love it cooldude

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I brother has a XD and I think he shoots left handed. Hasn't complained about it. Bersa makes a great lt/rt hand pistol. My 40 is universal (so is the 45) but like it set up for right hand even tho i shoot left.

I have the xdm in 9 40 and 45. Traded my glock 23 for the first one which was the 40 and fell in love with these amazing shooting guns. Springfield is the only auto pistol i will ever own. As far as revolvers my 3 smiths are my favorite  one in  s&w 500 another in.  460 and a stubb nose 38

I'm officially older then dirt now 50  Shocked

I went to the range today, I hadn't been  for a few months. it's true if you don't use it you lose it.
I'd say my accuracy was average, by the end of the session my aim improved.

I'm a left handed dude, however I shoot with both hands and mostly my right.
