Some good info but unfortunatly it has nothing to do with Anvil and I's discussion about a particular Mustang.

It absolutely does not have anything to do with your bickering.
I offered it as a good read.
You two go back to the  part where it makes sense arguing who is right or whatever the hell you were arguing about. I tired of it.

Call it what you will. And as far as you being tired of it, DON"T READ IT! Pretty simple fix huh.

Kinda hard to miss it, since the post has been monopolized by your  back and forth crap.

I am done, some continue to post non existent facts, with absolutely  no knowledge of air craft design or operation, just to come out as an expert  uglystupid2 and to act as they know more that every one else.

Wow, a flame war that I'm only peripherally involved in. This is a recent development.

Crap, almost missed out on the hair-splitting.  Technically, it would be an Experimental aircraft in the air race category.  Since most warbirds were not produced under a type certificate, they can't get standard airworthiness certificates, they have to get experimental airworthiness certificates.  In this case, even if it was produced under a type certificate, it would have still required an experimental certificate since it had been modified away from the original type design (and is being used for air racing).

I worked on A/C in the Navy-never in the civilian sector. Glad you clarified the certificate types involved. While i was in the Navy i just picked up the repair order from the maint chief and did my best to repair what was wrong. Then Q C had to sign off and so on down the line. RIDE SAFE.
