now ya'll ain't gonna believe this but...... one morning I got off work when I was nights at the P.O. and it was a beautiful mid spring morning on a saturday. I went home loaded up the family and we went fishing. we ended up at south twin lake and the ladies got bored pretty easy so they went for a walk. I hooked a small rainbow and was reeling it in, got it about 15' from the bank and this big shadow made my jump a little. the extra movement of my twitch made the osprey miss my fish by only an inch or two. the biggest fishing tale I've ever told, I almost caught an osprey.

My wife and I used to take our bicycles to New Port Richey on the Gulf Coast for the weekend and ride some of their good bike trails. Watching the Osprey out there in the wild on Green Key was a favorite pasttime. I always got a kick out of watching them because they would shake themselves like a dog after getting wet.
Great post Steve, watched it twice.

on that first catch, that bird looked like it had 5 fish on one dive!!
we go fishing once a year up north on a lake called St. Croix, there's a couple of eagles nests on an island in the lake, the coolest thing i'd ever seen was an eagle swoop down and grab a fish from the lake. awsome!!
in the base ball dimond in town there's two ospray nests on the lights. sometimes they're more intresting then the game!!

Thats good video. My friend, Tom is quite the fisherman. The poor guy tolerates me for some unknown reason. We we're in a tournement in Mexico and he hooked the bottom. I felt obligated to let everybody know he caught the planet.
