We saw a couple dozen balloons in all including ones with sponsorship by Budweiser, Curves and the tourism council for Hot Springs, AR. After the balloons drifted over, we talked with one of the local vendors and he recommended a restaurant on Main St about 3 blocks from the river called Biscuits and Blues.

We got there before dark but had to wait about 30 mins for a table. It's a small place, about 15-20 tables plus a bar. The manager started a list and we were the second couple on it. He said almost everyone walked in about 10-15 mins before us. When someone said they had to go to the bathroom they were told to walk to the turkey. Turkey? What turkey? Oh, THAT turkey!

When it was our turn for a table, the manager said our table was where the musical act plays at 8. It was 7:30 and we said we didn't care. Waitress came and took our order. I ordered a medium rare ribeye steak with a crawfish sauce, spinach stuffed tomato, garlic mashed potatoes, side salad and tea.

OH! MY! GOD! was it good. Lanette ordered the same thing without the sauce and said it was delicious. If you're in the Natchez area, check out Biscuits and Blues. You won't be disappointed.
About 8 Maggie Brown showed up, plugged in her guitar and talked with us while she got ready. She asked us about our musical tastes then opened with the Pistol Annies' Hell on Heels.

We stayed and listened for about 30 minutes. She sang songs by Tracy Chapman, Stevie Nicks and some of her own. She's really good. Told us she's got a cd out or you can buy her stuff on iTunes.
When she took a break, I got a hug from her.

Then we left. Walked the 3 or 4 blocks back to the I/S and rode out of town. I'm not familiar with US 84 so we rode slower on the way back then we did going over. Dropped Lanette off a little after midnight, hung out for 10-15 minutes and got home a little after 1:30.
My dogs were ecstatic to see me. I'd been gone over 16 hours. It was a really good day.
