Seems I volunteered to host another wrench party. It will be Nov 12th 8am.  If you need to come sooner than that, let me know in advance.  I can't promise food and refreshments as of yet, will probably update that later.  No news of the football yet as its still too early.  I have 1 jack, without adapter, that will be used unless someone needs it worse than me.  I will try to make arrangements to get ahold of the football and maybe another jack if someone is in need.

Jimnvalk needs some work done and I want to replace the final drive o-rings and the valve stem in the rear tire (will take it to a local shop once I get the wheel off).  Rainmaker said he would be available for supervision.

If you are planning on coming, please post here and Email me for address if needed.  thagandy@centurytel.net

Do you need a jack adapter?  I'll volunteer one for the football/your use on the 12th.  Since both of the bikes in my garage have centerstands, it's a boat anchor anyway........

And I said I'd help.  I am in no way a supervisor.  That is way above my pay grade.  Just ask the spousal unit/supervisor at my house.

I'm on call that weekend, but if there's nothing on the board by Friday night I'll plan on coming Saturday morning. Can't say if I'll be there all day or not. I can bring an adapter to work with me on Friday, and bring it by that night when I get off if it turns out I can't make it Sat. morning.

The football has more lift adapters than it can handle.   Wink

I take it none of y'all will be going on the super-special Saturday club ride to the stockyards in FW for BBQ on the 12th?

Did I miss a post or an email?  I just looked back at all the posts in October to date. I can't find an announcement.  Did I just miss it?

We discussed having the November meeting on Saturday as a lunch ride at the October meeting.  Was I the only one paying attention at the meeting?   ???

Well, I wasn't at the meeting so can't comment on that.  The wrench party discussion started on Sunday and no one has noted the bbq meeting on the 12th until you did, so I wonder how many remembered?

True, we could work really fast and then head down for the bbq meeting.  Depends on how much plumbing we need to do on jimnvalk's bike.

Since the time has not been announced, could the meeting be at 2:00PM or so?

We need to take our time and make sure we do a good job on the bikes, so I am now of the opinion that the wrench party goes on as planned, we take the time to do the jobs right and if we miss BBQ, well, I can stand to miss a few meals.

For those who do not need to wrench, eat an extra rib for me.

I might be able to make this one.  I need to find the leak in the final drive on mine.  Maybe afterwards maybe a ride for BBQ or whatever.

i have also discovered another problem  Number 5 cylinder is not firing.  Have spark, gas comes out of carb when i unscrew bowl screw, but when it is running i can pull the spark plug wire off and no change in engine.  The plug on vacuum line was bad but even when i hold my finger over hole still no change.  I will be caging it. If any of you have an idea to try let me know  Thanks

Count me in.  What time and I need the address again.  I erased it from my GPS by accident.

Gotta few things to do at work in the morning, so I'll be along a little later as long things stay as they are...

Hollyday, no biscuits for me!

Jimnvalk, Disco, Valkpilot, lucky_1_chris, Stormrider65, and Rainmaker all showed up at some point or another.

Jimnvalk replaced his intake o-rings, vacuum caps, and entire petcock assembly, checked his #5 carb and the sync.  O-rings were from some auto store and were squished real bad.  We think they were the wrong size diameter. The carb and jets looked good, and the sync was still good from when he did it last year.  He said the bike seem to run great.

I did my final drive maintenance, new o-rings and lube, had my rubber valve stem replaced while I had the tire off, and replaced my auto store vacuum caps from last year or year before that were getting real bad already.  My only issue is once we started cleaning up after everyone left, I found the drive shaft sleeve that goes inside the pumpkin laying ontop of the trash can.  Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow or next week.

Valkpilot, Disco, lucky_1_chris, Stormrider65 all lent a hand or advice and usual bike stories.  Rainmaker was able to get away finally and showed up for a visit.

Of course Hollyday supplied some great food, such as biscuits and sausage with gravy for breakfast and chicken n dumplings for lunch.

Here some of the bikes with some work being done.

Thag and Hollyday have outdone themselves, hosting wrench parties two months in a row.  They provided an excellent place to work and GREAT FOOD both times.

Now if Thag will only take care of Holly's goodies...

Randy and Liz were great hosts, as always.  It was great to see everyone and, as always learn something new.  Jim thanks for the badges and also Chris, thanks for showing me were the wiring is to the speakers.  Now maybe I might get something figured out.  Hope all made it home safely.  I'm looking forward to next time.
