Looking to purchase the Peg Relocator Kit from Big Mike. Has any one used the Kit from Big Mike or Chet with Cobra Floorboards. If so how was the installation? How was the quality of the kit?

Big Mikes are great because you aren't paying for plateing that is not seen and the foward position does not look like there is "something missing".

OK, I have the Chets on my I/S, but Mike stepped up when Chet retired. And my new Valk project bobber will have Mikes relocators on it.

I know Mike on a personal level and I will testify that he is a stand up guy!

Would love to get my hands on a "kick shifter" aka  "heal toe shifter". But I understand there is some drama going with Chet and using the name "kick shifter". If the only hold up is the name, just name it something else like "Dragon Kicker or Dragon Spur".

Michael Terry is his name. I believe they are one and the same. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Yes... great guy... VERY good customer service.

He even called directly to make sure my order was correct.  He thought my custom lower engine cover might have a bit too much lettering on it.  After a few minutes on the phone, I told him to try what he thought would look best and go for it.

It turned out GREAT!!!

That reminds me... I want to get a few new items from him.   cooldude

Mike had just started making the peg relocator kit last year when I bought mine; don't remember price though.
He has to find used Rattlebar kickshifters and charges as to condition.
I was lucky and bought one of two he had at the time. It was in" new" condition.

I tried dealing with him when had a set on ebay, his relocator kit is over $100. I made my own even to go so far as adding more holes to allow for more choices on footpeg location. I am still tweeking the left foot placement. The relocator plate I made for the right side dropping the brake assembly 1 inch and forward did not work out to well as the exhuast was rubbing it. Tired to shim it out and the brake hoses wheren't long enough. I went back to the original stock location giving up on that side. If you are interested I will post a picture of my extension plate showing the hole placement this weekend when I take off for one last tweek on the left side. I am experimenting with tilting the foot down in the front. It's more of natural foot position for a 6'3" rider. On second thought I'll post picture anyway. It might spark more ideas.

Sounds good.

I've done my own peg extenders also. Nothing fancy. Getting them powdercoated next week, then I'll post some pics. I'm 6'2" and stock peg placement wasn't comfortable.

Cheers...

Installed Mark T peg extenders... WOW.. what a difference!!  I am 6'4" with a 34" inseam and size 13 shoe.  I  was really cramped before and am really good now.  I used the most extended settings!  Install was detailed out by Mark in a printout with the pegs.  REAL simple!!!
This also really frees up the feet space, just feel like I have some breathing room now, where as before legs were cramped and feet were hitting the motor.

While I was installing these, I also found the brake adjustment suggested in another thread on the forum. The brake level will adjust through a range of like 3 in at the pedal end. HUGE difference.
