I would think it would eliminate hydrolock and a bonus would be 3 more gallons of gas. Would not need a petcock either, unless you wanted to remove the main tank with gas still in it.  Hoser   Smiley

Farther wouldn't that eliminate hydrolock ?

Not Farther, but yes it would eliminate hydrolock as now the fuel is not gravity fed from the fuel tank it is pumped up from the belly tank.

The belly tank does not eliminate the petcock, it is still on the tank and is attached via hose from main tank to belly tank. During normal operation the petcock is a vent for the belly tank. The petcock is used when you turn it to reserve as it drains the remaining "reserve fuel" down to the belly tank. The petcock then becomes a vent again.

Fuel pump is part of the unit. All the parts you need come with it. The only extra thing you have to do is have the new fitting (included) silver soldered into the OEM fuel tank. I couldn't find anyone nearby that silver soldered anymore, so I had an aluminum fabricator TIG (not MIG) weld in the fitting. It cost me $25 for that.

The fuel pump that is attached to the tank is a common one, so if it ever needs replacing, I guess they are readily available through places like NAPA.

I don't have the belly tank anymore, but my brother bought it and has it on his Tourer, it has been going without problems for about 4 years now.

Yes, while the ignition is off.  I have often wondered what would happen if the fuel pump ran while the engine is not running.
