I am halfway+ through getting my AA and looking at 4 year degrees I can get locally at my school, Daytona State College (versus moving...) and they offer a BSIST or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology - Information systems Tech Concentration.

For you folks in the IT or even the HR world, where does this compare to a BS in computer science that I could get at somewhere like the University of Florida or University of Central Florida?

Note: Daytona State College and all the other Florida community colleges are now 4 year colleges and offer some / select four year degrees. as I understand it UCF used to offer the BSIST at their extension campus at Daytona state and when they wanted to drop it, daytona state picked it up.

second note: I'm not set on something in IT, but that would be the subject of a diffrent post...
