What sort of grips came on the Valkyries.  Most every Valkyrie I have seen has those monster ISO grips... I feel like I holding onto 2" piece of pipe.  Are there any grips out there that aren't quite so bid around.  What did the OEM's look like?

The OEM grips are probably just what you want. I got rid of the big Chrome grips that were on
my bike when I got it, and replaced them with smaller-diameter OEM rubber grips, I think
they are great...

OEM's are black rubber with chrome end caps. Quite a bit smaller dia. than the iso's. Problem with buying OEM grips is that Honda makes you buy the throttle sleeve with the right grip.

Bottom left are the OEM grips.  Since we're talking about it I'd love to find someone with an extra end cap that doesn't mind parting with it so I can do the key mod.  I saw that this weekend and thought it was a nice touch.  PM me if you have one.

OK, now I'm curious.  What's the "key mod"?

Here's a set on fleabay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Honda-Valkyrie-1500-Factory-Grips-Set-1997-2003-/280770575845?hash=item415f3afde5&item=280770575845&pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr  I haven't checked the price at HDL.
I put a set of those ISO on my last bike and found them too big also and I have big mitts. The OEM's are comfortable.  It's not like you have to worry about vibrations Wink
