Hi again, I'm having a very difficult time trying to get a hard white crusty substance off and out of the piston ring grooves and dust seal grooves, I've had it soaking for a week and nothing

Any ideas, I'm trying not to scratch it up   thanks

A cool idea I read on here recently was to use a "just stiff enough" dremel brush-wheel...

I use my gun cleaning brass/stainless brushes and solvents with good results.  The Dremel is a good idea too.
