I did something wrong again. Installed new galfer clutch line, no hitched, bleed brakes filled to fill line with clutch dismounted and held straight, installed float and rubber, then lid, reinstalled on handlebar and it is pouring out top under lid, afraid to tighten screws more, took off and checked rubber, no breaks or tears, any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks, justin

Well, Dang, nevermind the nevermind, still weeping a bit, but nowhere near as bad as it was, only when turned to the left all the way. It's tight, and looked clean

You only mentioned three parts, there are 4. The float, rubber boot gasket thingy, white plastic cap & then the reservoir screw cap.
Hope you get 'er fixed you don't want to ruin your tank paint with left turns.

Put the white plastic cap and rubber boot together and THEN put them in the reservoir. Sometimes that rubber boot can get pushed down into the reservoir instead of sitting between them as it should.
Also, you may have fixed it and it may be residual fluid trapped under there weeping out. Hard to tell without seeing how much it is.

yeah, thanks, finally got it weep free , I must be getting old, done this before, but never had a problem with it before, I think I was just taking things for granted, either that or was too excited about my new set of brake lines and clutch line

Care to admit or enlighten about what the fix was? Might be useful info to others in the future.

Went to reclean everything, and noticed that the lip of the master cylinder had some raised discolorations, drained the cyclinder and used a semi stiff dremel brush to smooth it down. Wouldn't think it would effect it, but, I guess take nothing for granted

I recommend not eating raw cookie dough while working on your brakes. Seriously though, I had the same buildup of crud.
