This time, we want to know if you like the evening meetings or would rather switch to an early breakfast meeting during the week or a Saturday morning breakfast meeting just before a ride.

I think this is the last poll about meetings unless we want to talk dress codes. Grin

We need a "I don't care, just want to see everyone" button so we can muddy the waters again. Grin

I dunno.  I'd probably have to put a poll up to see what time to meet.  Then where to meet.

I feel like someone in the Clinton administration - decision by popularity poll.

Just vote on these for now.

I vote that Rainmaker changes his handle to Pollmaker........Just joking  Grin.....I know you are trying to keep everyone happy (good luck) and I for one appreciate all you do for this group. I usually have school during the week and homework on the weekends, so for the next year and a half, I say have the meetings wherever & whenever and if I'm free I'll be there.

Let's have a meeting about how to author the poll? Or, would you consider adding "Meeting after an early Saturday morning ride during the hot summer season" to make best use of the not so hot riding part of the day this time of year? Of coarse, that would change up in the colder months - yet another poll!

I seriously appreciate your efforts, RM! ~Jeff

I agree with Jeff.  One of the groups I ride with meets at 7 AM for breakfast and TWO (throttles wide open) around 7:45.  We usually finish the ride around 11 or 12.  This is great in summer to beat the heat and still have a good ride.  The HRC chapter 38 out of Maxim starts their rides around 10 or 10:30 and I have not ridden with them since the heat wave kicked in.  I don't enjoy riding in 100+ temps and MaryAnn cannot handle that high of temperature.  Maybe early morning or moonlightless rides during the hot months and back to business as usual when the weather cools down.

How about the "silo" room at Babes in Frisco.... private room, and round table for easy discussion.  Looked like it was laid out for the knights of the round table

Meetings take place in Grapevine, so Babe's being in Frisco rules it out. That far northeast really makes it the D VRCC, not the DFW VRCC.

FINE.  Isn't there a place to eat breakfast in Grapevine?

Lots of places for breakfast in Grapevine, but so far, the poll is 75% in favor of dinner meetings, so haven't done much looking.

There is no perfect place, day or time to meet so we do the best we can and find a place that works for most.

Jean, maybe we could have our own mini-meeting at Frisco, breakfast or dinner works for Mary and I.  I can almost guarantee that I will not make the meetings in Grapevine; it's far but mostly too much traffic.  We can have a mini-meeting locally and the ones of us that cannot go to Grapevine can still socialize and get the updates from those who do go to Grapevine.  What do you North Dallasites think about that?
