Merry Christmas...OTR driving is a hellofa way to make a living  Sad. I did it a couple years and lucked out when I joined the Teamster's 25 years ago and got the job I still have. My job still has me on the road all over the south but I do get some " OFF "time.I feel for ya brother ....Drive safe  cooldude

I was on the road 38 wks this yr down from 43 last yr, I always keep the folks away from home in mind during the holidays, certainly can be tough.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year cooldude

As an ex and retired over the road driver i know EXACTLY what yer going thru. tickedoff You have managed to put/keep it in perspective from what i'm reading. coolsmiley Going and coming back from Church sevices this morning run up on a few drivers that are still not home either. I know how  ya feel Brother.

For 32 years I was never home on a Holiday.

That was almost a requirement to try and keep the roads safe from the DUI people.

Hopefully I helped save several lives, if so, then it was well worth it.

Good for you Fudgie. After my kids were grown, I volunteered on many holidays for the guys who had young ones at home. Last night I was coming home from a dinner with friends and saw a couple of semis on runs around midnight. I couldn't help but feel for them.

still don't have a solid time/date when I'll be home. I ran around OK and AR today shaggin' loads.

I'm under a load to Walmart in Clarksville AR for in the morn, THEN I pick up my home load from Tyson in Pottsville AR.
