It's the 2000 up Standard/Tourer seat. I think it is still under $90 from HDL. It has a slightly different "grain" & color than the 97-99 seat but is a tremendous upgrade from the 97-99 stocker, IMHO. It feels very much like a Mustang seat to me. Good value.

Is the new passenger seat better also? If you buy one and not the other does it look bad?

Actually, the later pillions don't have "Made in USA" on them. I prefer the older for that half.
The one very small negative is that if you look closely you'll notice the grain pattern doesn't match.

I put 100 miles or so on one of the newer style seats and decided I liked my OEM 97 seat better. It seemed like the newer one locked me into one position too much. I've replaced them both with an Ultimate seat and backrest now.

If you look closely at the pic I posted you can see the difference in the "grain". The fact that you have to look closely to see the difference kinda sums it up. Couldn't comment on the comfort, never been on the passenger seat of a motorcycle! BTW, I have Ultimates on our other 2 Valks. King BB on mine & the Low Rider on Kim's. That IMHO is the "ultimate" upgrade, pun intended.

Best Valkyrie seat upgrade I ever had was going from an Ultimate Big Boy to the Ultimate King Big Boy. The King Big Boy is a wonderful seat.
Happy New Year,

I am 6'2", 210 lbs, and have the king big boy..seems much more comfortable than the big boy by far. RM works let me check his lowboy and big boy seats out before I ordered the King.
