Does anyone know where I can find and purchase the long flex handle carberator pilot tool. The stubby handle kind is readily available, but I would like to get the long handle type. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I googled it way back when I got mine.  Sorry, I don't remember the name of the supplier I got it from.

Red Diamond, my son says it came from Motion Pro.   Don't know if they still sell it or not.

Do a Google search and call them on their hotline tomorrow.

Be on their site and ask them for the part #, that way you can see if it is what ya want.

Mine has a 90* bend on the 'd' socket and a workable handle to turn the 'd' socket once you are on it.

EXPENSIVE he said.     He bought it for my birthday a few years back.

I'd look it up for you but I'm trying to crunch his service tickets, parts purchases and returns and Sales tax for this month, then I got to combine all 12 months for his bookkeeper. Glad I have a fast box and a very large external hard drive.

I bring his hard drive home, download everything onto my box and set back and watch the numbers flash by.    Takes about 2 hours to go through everything.   Last year we had over 600,000 entries to process.........   Thank God for Excel.  LOL.     I know there is better software but 23 years ago when I set it up, he learned how to use it and doesn't want to learn again.   Think he'd have to lay off his Tech if he changed.    He knows his cars, but doesn't know crap about a PC.     He can usually diagnose a problem or problem(s) in a unit, and have it fixed in 1/2 the time or less than the labor book says.

Motion Pro has a nice 90 degree tool with screw bits including the carb ajusting bit.  I like mine.  Here is a link but it is pricey.  http://www.motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/08-0229

Not sure this on will work very well but it is a cheaper option $9.00 but is has $12xx shipping.

Found this MotionPro unit on Ebay for $64.95 free shipping.

Thanks RJ and everyone else for the information, I'll be on that site ASAP.
RJ, after using that program for that many years, I can see how your Son does not want to change. Some old dogs just don't want to learn new tricks. LOL, keep up the good work.

Whichever tool you find or choose, it would be a good practice to first break the adjustment screw loose before you use the new tool.

Those particular screws have been reported to be very difficult to break loose and some have also said they broke the tool trying to get it loose.

Another point is to use the correct fitting socket.

There have been a few threads about making a home-made tool or some other method to get the adjusting screw loose.

The whole point is that if you ruin the seat for the screw or cause some other kind of damage to the carburetor you will end up having to replace the carburetor. That is the sole repair!

Very expensive.

You must have Viper for your virus protector.

You have to go to files, firewall, exception (something)  and add the main part of the link, Example (http://da.bug.com)  then hit add when ya have the correct link.
