changing the stock handlebars on a Valkyrie standard with drag bars ...8 in risers......when taking off the assembly, left and right.....for the hi-low beam quadrent and the throttle side quadrent......they are held together(from what I can see) by two (2) phillips screws either side......when taking these out, does this become "tricky"...what do I have to look for.......have replaced handlebars on mx bikes etc,but this seems to be a little more detailed.....any and all comments appreciated in advance.......kia kaha sheepshagger

sheepshagger....just remember when yoiu take out the phillips screws, that you need to put them back in the same place that you took them out (different sizes).  each switch box has a positioning nipple on it that corresponds with a hole in the stock handlebar....the new handlebar may or may not have the hole.....you can do two things....1.)  cut off the nipple on the switch housing (which I would not do.)   or  2.)  drill a hole in the new handlebar where the switch housing nipple will hold the housing snug (which is what I would do.).  Good luck.

Gidday sheepshagger,

Everything is basically held together, things won't go flying all over your garage when you separate them.

BTW - Love the accent.
