I'm running a General Altima HP 205/60-17 (CT) on Rear.  Do I have to run a Radial MT on front, or can I stay with the Bias Ply.   I personal like is Metzler ME880's  and I see that they now make it in either a Bias Ply or Radial.

I have a Falken Ziex 512 CT on the rear, and wanted a rear tire on the front for the added tread depth and , hopefully, longer life. Most of the rear tires that fit the front wheel of the Valkyrie are bias ply tires. I chose a Dunlop D404 130/90-17 and installed it last spring. 12K miles and it looks almost new. Handles great, good in the rain.

I think you'll find a lot of members riding on a car tire and a bias front.

Same here. G-019 bridgestone and Avon 130/90-17 bias rear tire on front turned backward and no handling problems.

The last 75K I've been running the 205/60 GYTT with D404 fronts which are bias ply tires.

I've got a local tire shop that mounts mine for free if I buy from him.  If not he charges me $10.

don't know. I tried and succeeded once. It took me all day. I pay the 23 bucks now. I've never tried a M/c tire so I can't compare.

For those running Dunlop D404's, how do they effect your speed-o-meter?

Mine is about the same. D404 130/90-17 has a rim to tread height of 117mm, stock is 120mm. Other sizes can make it worse, like 150/70-17 at 105mm.
