Tinnitus is very noisy! Would love to hear the sound of silence once again.
Especially in total quiet, like going to bed. I have run an overhead fan for low background white noise which assists in ignoring the tinnitus (and the light breeze) for many years. Cannot get to sleep without it (or 5-6 beers, which I don't do much anymore).

Yea fan's are my only help in sleeping now. had it about a year
and a half now. Really take's some getting used to. Oddly enough
when I ride my valk with stock exhaust afterwards my ear's scream
pretty loud. But it's a small price to pay. Had a peeping tom looking
in our bathroom window at my wife one morning. So I grabbed the ruger
9mm and unloaded the 15 shot clip in the ground. shortly after the
ringing began. If hindsight was 20/20 I would be a millionaire and
have no skeeter sound's in the ear's.

Why did you empty the clip in the ground.
You empty the clip in the subject and then drag them in the house and say they were an intruder.
one peepin Tom done hit the dust.

Believe me it was hard. By the time i came out through the
carport door he must have shagged a**. Funny thing all my
neighbor's came out and after telling them what happened
they all thanked me. Then two Hickory police car's pulled up.
I was expecting that. Illegal to discharge a firearm in the city
limit's. I was so wound up I didn't think about all the casing's
at our feet. One of the officer's had his flashlight to the ground
looking all over but never said a word pretty cool officer's.

Some of us LEO's, retired or working, can be good guys in situations like that.
I remember one time many years ago, I responded to a shooting.
The guy was laying in the yard, asked what happened, he told me he was a peeping tom and he plugged him.
I advised him to drag his ass in the house before the coroner got there. He did, and the County Attorney let the shooter off. Nobody could prove he had shot him outside and then drug him in, but they knew that was what happened.

My first valk. may be I should replace those next. Anyone got some good final drive gears for sale?? That way next time that wont fail.

Seems like there was a final rear on our classified. Check there, and if none, then go to Pinwall Salvage.

Colt 45's huh. Wha cha goin to do with them?
Depending on the barrel, they can have a hell of a kick.
But, they will stop an intruder in their tracks.

Took momma's Highlander out to have it's last free service.
Came home, parked it in the garage.
Mom left for work. 5 minutes later she is coming in the back door hootin and a hollerin.
Ask her what was wrong and the pressure sensor sensed a tire low, told her to relax and take the truck.
Went out to the garage, yupper, she had a left rear flat tire,
Called AAA to come change it to the spare. I thought it was a donut, boy was I surprised when he pulled it down and it was an exact match to the other 4.
I looked it over and saw a small cut on the sidewall. Damn it no how, those are not repairable, oh you can repair it but it won't last 99% of the time.
So headed to my favorite tire store. Friend of a friend and he didn't have any used ones turned in. It is a 19". He said he could have me a new one for $289.00 tomorrow. Told him no thank you. So went over to another store, asked them if they had a tire like that one in the back that was flat. She went out and looked, came back in and said yupper, I got a take off. Would like to sell all 4 but you only need 1. Told she had it on the $$$$$, asked how much for the take off. She said is $50 to much? Asked to see it and the damn thing had over 60% of it's tread. Told her to put it on the wheel and swing it back up under the trunk space. They brought the car around, tech came in handed the lady my keys and said, buy the way, this is what was in the tire. It was about a 2" hunk of a screw driver, straight blade.

Damn, I think we might of got some relief from the heat.
Our high today was 86*, with a light sprinkle this morning.
Weather lady said we should have some rain till midnight.
Been so long since we have had any rain, I staid up to see it.
Well here it is 12:45 AM and no rain in sight,so I guess I'll hit the fluff pad and see if I can get some well needed sleep.
Don't really know what the deal is on the heart burn, but it sure done did flair up about 6:30 PM last night and it is still burning.
If I didn't know better, I'd say I was trying to have a heart attack.
Cheers, have a great day tomorrow and a totally great weekend. If ya go riding, ride safely.
I was going to go out tomorrow on the Chevy, but I saw a broken sway bar out the back window. No drive that big boy with a sway bar not functioning. That is a nightmare and a 1/2.

Also, don't ride faster than your guardian angel can fly. I know it is hard to do, but it pays off in the long run.

I was looking at the rear tires on the Chevy.
Oops, I done got below the wear bar on 1 tire. Way below. It will be stickin some cords out shortly.
Think I will try some Coopers on it this time.
See how well they last for me.
These Yokohama's or something along that spelling, didn't last too long, and this big boy won't spin the rear tires. It just squats and goes. They have 28K on them.
My son is trying to talk me into changing the wheels out also. He says they are old school..
I reminded him that they were over 24 years old. Personally, I like em, but, I have to agree with him, they are old school.

Sturgis starts week after next. This will be it's 72nd year of running.
Mom said her and dad took me to the 1st one. Dad knew Pappy pretty well.
That father of mine and my mother must have gotten me interested in motors.
Mom said I rode with her and dad the night before I was born.

PS: that would have been on a hard tail Hardley 81" er.
Something dad took in for payment f something on the farm and put it back together. That was also the way he got the Indian I learned t ride on.
4 cylinder 3 speed Indian, think they called it a Chief. I know the throttle was on the left, and the suicide clutch was a rocker type. If the front of the lever was pushed down, the clutch was disengaged, if it was the other way, it was in ear and ready to rumble. Right grip was the spark advance/retard. Good old kick starter also.
I didn't have enough ump in my butt to kick it over. Dad and my Uncle could start it with one kick. Loved that bike. Wish now I would of bought one just like it about 30 years ago.
