Moved a fence in my side yard so as to get the trailer in and out.

Pulled up on the slope to mow it and what cha tink, I got high centered.

Even my fat arse would hold it down so as to get some traction.

Guess that will be the last time for that until I get it shaved off some.

Storm headed for the northeast.  Batten down the hatches!  Better stock up on beer and whiskey so's they can ride it out.

That might be a blessing as this looks like it might turn out to be pretty big.  Sounds like a lot of storm surge inland is expected, sort of like IKE did to us.  Not too much wind (80-90), but flooding all over...

I'd sure like to see some of these Hurricane's hit over in the sand box.   After our boys are out however.

Then the USA set on their ass and not offer any help.

That's great if ya don't need any rain.

We could stand about 4" of just a light straight rain to replenish the yards.

We could use the rain.   Behind annual by 5 inches.  But would rather it come in a long 2 day light rain.

That would work just fine for us also.

We would take the rain either way.  Could handle 8-10 inches down here.

JimmyT, ya'll is like the TV Reporter who filled in for a regular.    The night before th weather guy said we would get 10" of snow.  It didn't snow so this reporter asked the weather guy, what happened to the 10" you promised me last night.    She left the table to not return that evening.

We are at least 8-10 inches behind in rainfall this year...  not near as bad as last year, but we still need some.

Sounds like our extended family are making out OK with the storm last night, but all haven't checked in yet.

The weather people predicted we would get rain the past 3 days.     Not a thing except cloudy and a little sharp chill in the area.

It has sprinkled tonight. On and off, but I bet it is less than quarter inch.  I swear it was sleeting on me the last 3 miles into home.

It was Hollow weinie beggars nite tonight.     Luckly little creatures.  It was 45* during their begging.

What pisses me off, is the NAACP buses, these little creatures 7 miles to our neighborhood to do their begging.     I never turned my light on tonight, I forgot till it was 9:30 PM.     Next door neighbor said she had 14 white kids and 45 black kids.

I don't think our city leaders know when the hell Beggars nite is.   One of the towns near by had theirs on the 28th, another one on the 29th, then ours last night and a little town about 12 miles out has it tonight.

At least the kids got 4 nights to go begging and gettin all that Chocolate to put them in a tizzy.

I wouldn't refer to it as beggars' night.  Although I don't personally celebrate Halloween I do get a big kick out of handing out treats to the children that come to our door.

I'd do it any night they came.

I get a kick out of it too, but when the older kids come by in large groups, I get a bit nervous.  Tonight is the night for mischief.....
But the little ones are soooooo cute.

I thought I had seen it all, until last year when three 10-12yo girls came to my door dressed up up as.......... very pregnant, with makeup and gum.  I was speechless.   Thinking....... do you even have any parents?

Later the big boys dressed as gangbangers with aluminum bats came to my door (trying to be menacing), I said you get nothing, take a hike, and my tricks hurt more than yours.

I leave my lights off from now on.

I really did enjoy the little ones, but very few trick-or-treaters come out anymore.

We had a great night tonight. Lots of cute costumes. All ages. What made it great is all the  Please and Thank You that came without prompting.  I know we don't have that many kids in the neighbor hood, but I can take a night with pleasant children and supportive parents.

Apparently some of the kids didn't get the word.    I always turn our porch light on at night, so the wife can see around the front of the house for any problems.  We had 7 stop and ring the bell, told thme sorry, they were a night late.

Our old Pit-bull took care of a guy about 6 years ago who tried to come in the garage and grab her.    He grabbed and Bandit grabbed his ass with the vise grip jaws they have.

He let loose of the wife, she told him when she told the dog to release, to turn and get his worthless ass out of there or there would be some double "O" buck hitting his behind.    He said no way mother F****r, and I opened the kitchen door with the shotgun in the air.     He made tracks.     Wife came in and asked how I got the shells in it so quick, I said what shells, it is safe, it is empty.  We chuckled on that for awhile.    Never did she the guy in the neighborhood again.   Dog passed about 4 1/2 years ago.  Bandit was very protective of every member of the family including son(s)/daughter(s)-in-laws and all the grand kids.

I used to raise Pit Bulls & Doberman when I was in California.

Never had a Pit take anyone just for the act.    It was always as a protection and then they just bite hard enough to let them know they were not getting loose.

If I was up to it, I'd have another Pit Bull now.

I added the rack and trunk on to mine as the little area in the back of the seat wouldn't hold much more than my air compressor for the Air horns and the gas tank filler tube.

the compressor will fill the supply tank fast enough you could honk the horn till you let off of it.   The tank can be totally empty, and the compressor will fill it in 10 seconds.   It is a compressor for when they add hydraulics to ride.
