Hi, folks! I am brand new to this message post business, so bear with me here. I have owned my Valkyrie for 4 years, and have been viewing the site even prior to owning my Valk. What a wealth of information! I love to ride, and enjoy tinkering in the colder months (Wisconsin winters). Have maintained, modified, and repaired my own bike using the resources available on the VRCC web site (while supporting some of the vendors!) Just want to say thanks!

You make me think of the old joke: A mute child was eating with his family and suddenly he said "the soup needs salt". His astonished parents were shocked. "Johnny, you can speak! Why haven't you even spoken before?". Johnny replied "Well, up to now everything's been fine." So, what made you do it? Is it something we said? Is it Strong Eagle, Willow or Big Al? Anyhow, welcome aboard and feel free to jump in and join the madness and show us your bike

Welcome to the asylum Warren. I agree with all you have said. There are a great deal of good, knowledgable people on this board. But, you already knew that. Hope to see you on the road sometime. Hay Jimmyt

Hey welcome to Romper Room. Oil, tires, and SOME politics are prohibited without a flame suit, thick layer of skin, and most important of all, a sense of humor. These people are a great bunch. Plenty of help, advice and information here. I've been with a few clubs in the past and VRCC is the best, hands down.

Nice to hear from all! In answer to questions on pics- Chrome- yes, I am working on pictures- but, photostash will not let me log in I am probably missing some basic first step to set up an account! Oss- am north of LaCrosse, but south of I94. Near Eau Galle, WI. This area was made to ride in with lots of hills and valleys, nice riding just out the garage door! BonS- are there controversial / inflammatory posts? Didn't notice! Have done a few unique things with the Valk, am eager to share some pics and info.

The IMG code will come up when you hold your cursor over your picture. Steve, is that yours?? Hi Danny, Yes. I got it from a guy in Enid, OK, one week before the 2nd InZane that was held in Paducah, KY. Don't remember the year. With RJ's help and his pickup and trailer, we went down and back in 2 days. It needed a lot of cleaning and it had HondaLine leather bags on it that were really trashed. As you see, I got a pair of new Honda bags. Also, it had No extra chrome. I got the Hoppe fairing from a member in Ohio and the Pods and I/S crash bars from a member just a few miles up the road from me. The Pods are functional, meaning I replaced the Air Guide behind the radiator with one for an I/S. While I was at the Rally in Paducah, I ordered a set of Ultimate seats. It's true what people have said for years about the '97's. It pulls so hard and is so much faster than my I/S. (I still have my Black I/S)
