The last time that I rode on the back was in 1949.  The Panther dealer took me for a ride on the back of a new Panther 600 single.  We were going 60 mph down a curvy GRAVEL road. He later told me that I made a good passenger, I didn't tense up and I didn't lean the wrong way.  Crap, I was too terrified to do either. No helmets then, no armored gear, just jeans and a shirt,  but i think that I had on a pair of boots.
