Several people have asked about these, so I thought I would just put it out here: After ordering the velocity stacks from HDL, and then being told we'll ship them when we ship them I decided I would just get creative. I started out with 6 chrome exhaust tips. I think they were 1 7/8". I cut them down so they would just fit under the tank. I then painted the insides with black paint. I then used alum. window screen and pressed it over another spray paint can cover to form a dome shape. I cut them so they fit just inside the tips. I used silicone sealer to hold them in place. I then used silicone to hold them in place on the carb covers. I think I have maybe $50 in these. I next ones I plan to add LEDs to the inside of them. I hope to make them flash. Hope this helps.

I'm using an "LED Quadra Strobe Module" by "Pilot" that Autozone sells for $25. It come with 4 white LEDs. It cut those off and spliced in the red ones that purchased separately.

I like the looks of the V-Stacks - just not sure what I got. I have a 2002 Tourer and the carb covers I measure are 2 1/4 at the base. The questions I have is will silcone really hold those dudes on. I don't want to put something on that will just fall off first time somebody touches them ? Guess I could buy me another set of carb covers - tack weld them on the inside of the pipe and screw them down - but if I'm gonna go through all that trouble I may as well just buy the V-Stacks for a couple hundred bucks. They seem to be pretty elusive though. Just asking -
