Fake velocity stacks? I suppose you could put loads of extra dials in them, maybe MotoSens or someone will make adaptor mounts..or little flags that pop out and unfurl, with "SUCK" written on them.

Regarding "un-informed" public attention and fake breasts, I suppose you would get a lot of the former by exposing the latter, in most car parks.

Never understood the point of someone stating what they don't like on a forum where they know some obviously DO like the same item. They don't like them, then  they don't have to put them on THEIRS. Really don't care what they do or don't like. I installed them for me. I'm sure there are addons on their bike I would prefer not having on  mine, but I'll keep the items to myself since their bike isn't mine to modify.  laugh

Valkyries look cool, Car tires on Valkyries look cool, Velocity stacks on Valkyries look cool, custom paint on Valkyries look cool, We look cool on our Valkyries, Pingle fuel valves are cool on a Valkyrie, Synthetic oil is very cool on a Valkyrie, Dunlop tires on a Valkyrie, not so cool Evil

So my bike looks cool if I have velocity stacks, but not cool if I have Dunlops.......So, does one cancel the other?  Does that combo make it average??

The cool factor of the velocity stacks is very high, so that combo would still be well above average Smiley

I cant believe that some would tell the owner of another bike that something looks like sh!t..i figure that you are just as proud of your bike as i am mine i would never say anything bad,,,now i might joke around a little and tell you that my bike and puppy dogs have a lot in common,  they both like to ride in the back of pick up trucks and leave puddles on the side of the road, but i would not say that about yours cause we all know that Valks dont leak...well mine did but yalls dont!!

Please don't take me wrong, I'm not criticizing anyone's bike.  I'm just trying to understand the attraction to a non functional part.  I've been into customizing bikes and cars for a long time and I'm always interested to know the reasons behind the choices that people make.  I don't think it looks bad.  I think it looks GREAT!  What kills it for me is that it's not for real.  If they worked, I'd probably be the first guy to go too far and use 8 inch Hillborn stacks.

So, it is only cool if it works and is functional?  You customize cars.  You have NO non-functional parts on them?  Nothing?  Chrome is certainly non functional.  Paint does as well.

I have several riding buddies that ride Hardly Dicklious motorcycles and I own a bike lift , tire changer and tons of tools...LOL  so it seems they all show up to piddle with their bikes . I have alot of fun going thru their boxes and packages and snipping off the "Harley " logos . Then when we stop somewhere I often work the throttle on the Valk ....kinda like it isn't running quite right and start to look at and tinker with it . As a few gather around to "help" I say .."Just as I thought  I'm going have to stop riding with you Harley guys, and fish the HD castoffs out of the stacks . Always gets a couple of F$%^& you's and an occasional chuckle from other metric riders around .
Gotta love sucking those Harleys down the intake .

Paint and chrome?  Sure, I use those.  But non functioning simulations of real parts?  No.  None.

I like them. So what if they're not functional. They look like they could be. Everyone else's carbs/FI is hidden behind their V-Twins. Ours are right out there for the world to see. More chrome. More bling. Looks good.

It's amazing how many non functional parts people put on Valks.......And I think some people have a hard time not showing their jealousy...... You should maybe try what I do.....I Don't care what people put on their bikes or cars as long as I didn't pay for it.......In fact I don't care what kind of bike or car you ride or drive......I figger you did the same thing I did.....I worked...I got a pay check....And I am a grown adult human.....Therefore I can spend MY money on what ever I CHOOSE to.  cooldude

Yes he is functional. He never complains and has ridden with me for nearly 80 thousand miles.....I call him my lucky Monkey..... My oldest daughter brought him to me when she and her boy friend at the time came to a Power lifting contest to help me with my lifting gear....I won the contest and dubbed him as the lucky monkey and from that point I never leave him at home......If he is not riding on the back he is in a saddle bag..  Wink

Dang! That little "trunk" monkey provides more comfort and companionship for you than than my Phony Stacks does for me. So, there ya go. The monkey is functional. That should work out to fit into msapers' criteria.

Now if you can get him to act like the one in the commercials...!  Evil
