What is the difference between the white tub of Bel-Ray Waterproof Grease with the black lid and the tub with the blue lid. The blue lid is MC-11. They are both labeled waterproof grease. What do you use?

Blue Belray is vey good for axles, kick stands, levers, foot pegs, just about anything except those pesky splines.
Get some Molybdenum for that job.
Grease or paste will do.
Thought that maybe what you were using the BelRay for.

thanks for the answers. Here goes:
1. A lot of people say to use Bel-ray for the splines. Agree / Disagree ?
2. There are a lot of types of grease at Autozone, etc. such as Valvoline Durablend that contains moly. Is this good enough ?
My head could spin clear off my shoulders trying to assimilate all of the answers/suggestions/reasons to and reasons not to use a particuliar grease.
It might be interesting to start a poll to determine which grease is the most used.

Here we go again: My original splines with 112K on them. Bel Ray used after the first tire and nothing else since then. Now have 126K and no problems. I also use Valvoline Durablend (moly) on the drive shaft splines.

Indybob. Just clean all the old crud off and put a thin coating on each set of meshing bits. Job done. Any excess will get squeezed out from between the teeth. Easy peasy.

55,000 miles with Bel Ray grease. Shows a little wear but probably due to my not loosening those 4 bolts once. The Honda shop where I bought my I/S said that was all they ever used and never had a failure.

I use Bel Ray but I also added moly paste to it..a mixture of about 50/50

This was used on my Vakyrie splines for 50,000 miles Has been used on my ST1300 splines for nearly 90,000 miles.
