Jess if those are her real eye color, well even if they are contacts, she can sit on the copy machine, sleep on the desk and drop papers on the floor
I admire your strong principles in taking a secretary along wherever you end up.
Maid uniform or Nurse or something else?
Hope you win soon

Bev and I are in the process of buying a 1900 Victorian home way out in the country. I would pay off the mortgage and could live out our lives very comfortably with a half mil....

Depending on the amount, pay alll bills, sell my house and buy another one with a LOT bigger garage to store and work on the few Valk's I would purchase. My newly discovered sister in South Carolina would never have to work again. Pay for her kids college, maybe move her and hubby closer to me. New vehicles for all her family. My ohter 2 so called sisters here I would at least give them both 10 grand apiece and tell them to kiss my a$$. (You have to know the back story for that one ) Get my wife's kids homes, vehicles, college money, ect. THEN take a tour to all of North America, then tour Europe, Australia, the Far East and every where else in between. Hire some helpers for the wife whenever she gets on one of her "moods" to redecorate, and try to spend a LOT more time with my fellow VRCC members, helping out whenever I could. And try to make every damn rally, meeting, ride, get together ect that would be humanly possible. And also hiring the best of the best mechanics on the VRCC website to mod and teach me how to work on all my Valks. (Medical, Dental and retirements benefits included ) And having a lot of fun doing it all. Yeah, that should about do it. Walt

Oh no Oss, I will not be taking a secretary with me anywhere. I am done with them. Maybe a few hours of social interaction here and there, but otherwise I am solo...... forever. Freedom, peace of mind and sanity require it. I am 59 today, think I'll go for a ride.

Thanks RJ. My dad was in the Corps at that time (born 1930).... and while they've always been a little vague about it (and it's none of my business), I believe I was conceived on or around Camp Lejeune.... a year after the wedding. They saved up, and when they had $300, they decided it was enough to start them out. Their first base quarters was the maids (one) room in an officer's house (most oldtime officer housing had a single, separate-entrance maid/nanny's room). And I was spitshining in 1st grade. LOL

Pay off my house. Buy one in one of the southern states... probably San Antonio since I've lived there and have some friends down there. I'd have a corral of bikes and all the means to work on them at my leisure. Set up my family members and a few close friends. have some fun for a living...

Ya got to have some ya da ya da in it, you know you are not going to stop at one thing. I know one of the ya da ya da things I would want to do is find an 72 Chrysler Newport 4 dr, and built it into a replic of a Patrol car I had back then. 440 ci w/cross ram dual 4's........ Was a fun machine to drive. It would be known as a sleeper.

I noticed that before too. Proud to shake anytime pardner. I'll be at the WVa Hillbilly Ride in June.
OK, now back to THE THREAD.
Besides an extended stay in the Eastern Med, I'd like a little property in E TN far enough outside of a small town to have a 100yd rifle range off my back deck and a big garage. Trade my car for a truck, and I'm all set. Got a great buddy building his retirement home on ST Croix USVI (with boat).... I'd advance enough to add a shack for me and I'd be his occasional grounds keeper and deckhand.

The question is what's the FIRST thing you'd buy. I'd probably get a Ford Fusion. Gonna be a lot of going place to place for a few weeks (lawyer's office, financial planners, banks, etc) so might as well get a new car to ride around town. After getting everything situated, give the Fusion to someone in need and get a Boss Mustang and some other toys.

The first thing I would do is pay off my house. The first toy I would buy would be a brandy new Cadillac CTS-V.
Then a whole lotta of yada, yada, yada.

I don't see why some people are getting confused.... The thread is not the FIRST thing you would do... it's "LETS SEE WHAT U WOULD DO..." which covers way more than "FIRST" I'm sure a lot of us would find plenty to do with a MOTHERLOAD of money. Massachusetts (and all the New England states) have come out with a new game just today called "Lucky for Life" $1000.00 per day for life... That's retirement...

Pizza. It's almost dinner time.
No-one would buy a car or boat or bike or pay off their mortgage as the FIRST thing they would buy. It would be gas or ice cream or something mundane. It takes at least a day or two of planning and running around to buy something major... Fred.

I just assumed the question was what would I buy with my NEW money. I could probably come up with enough coin from my paycheck to get an ice cream sammie. Not much more than that given my paycheck but pretty sure at least one sammie.

I'd buy the house I'm busy paying for right now. Been all over, and it's still the one I would buy first! Then a couple of Valk I/S's that would be restored to mint condition, and I'd travel the rest of the USA that I haven't been to yet!
