Anybody have any tips for installing new upper bushings in 440 model shocks. I haven't been at it too long but I would accept any ideas for making it easier. Now back to it!

I don't know if Progressive bushings are any different than any others..when I put Gary's Polyurethane bushings in my stock shocks, I used a vise..worked slick and pushed them in square.

440s come with a little bag of metal bushings. Among the ones in my bag were
some obvious "right for the Valkyrie" ones... I just slipped them in, no trouble,
even after I'd had the shocks on long enough to blow them out, the bushings
were still fine...

And if I'm not mistaken, the "right" bushings for valk are different on each side.  Just be sure to use the right one for each side.

With the PS 440s (with supplied assortment of bushings), I just used my fingers.  They slip right into the shock eyes.

Well I got them in. These bushings were/are quite stiff but I was able to get tem in with my hands ans a flat blade screwdriver. The only real problem was getting the first shoulder in thus the screwdriver, after that it popped right into place.

progressive 440s are guaranteed for life (as long as you have a sales slip)They will replace your shocks and bushings for the cost of shipping them to them.If mine go bad I'll just put my OEMs back on and ship them or call them and ask for new bushings.
