My projected return to work, life and riding is 4/9/12. Hopefully there will still be some mushrooms left in the woods when I can finally hunt them. Just walked out to the mailbox in my pajama pants with my leg sucker (wound vac) over my shoulder. Gotta admit, I think it's starting to change my self image. Maybe I shoulda' thrown my riding jacket on.  |

I wish you the best Mike  I just returned from the doctor myself I've got alot of fluid accumulation in the lungs its to the point I feel like I'm drowning .They wanted me to go to the hospital but I'm going to see if this bag full of drugs work  |

Get well, soon, Mike. Make sure the doctor is taking that infection very seriously. I noticed some traffic stopping as I walked out. Guess they were just enjoying the EYECANDY. The infection thing scares the crap out of me. He seems to be a good doc, he apologized and he's takin' it serious. I researched the Doc before I went to him, he's well recommended by everyone and I'd recommend him. Everything and everybody looked clean as did the operating room when they wheeled me in, and beleive me I even looked for blood splatters on the ceiling. IV antibiotics before and during the surgery. 10 days or so of Keflex afterwards, I did everything I was supposed to and nothing I shouldn't and the germs still got me. Seems to just be soft tissue and not the bone thankfully. My helper at work is working 12 hour days 5 days a week while I'm off and I'm feeling bad about it but not much I can do besides some phone advice and a "thanks and sorry about this" a few times a week.  But I've got it way better than many of our members do right now and I feel lucky it's not way worse. |

Hey, since I retired, I go to the mailbox in my plaid PJ pants all the time.
People laugh and point.... but I know they're just jealous, on their way to work.

Hey both of you guys get well soon and listen to what the Doc has to say we have a lot of riding to do together. My new doctor has but me on a blood pressure pill nothing serious yet says it will help my kidneys get rid of the extra protein since I am a diabetic Hey Mike, since I retired, I go to the mailbox in my plaid PJ pants also. no one is laughing or pointing heck I live so far out in the sticks no one is around. I have notice that the brids sure start singing a lot louder. Think they might be laughing heck they may be jealous cause they still have to hunt for food and I don't. both of you Please get well and we will see you soon rainman |
