Hard to tell from the pics, but I don't believe that thats a SSA on a valk, but a valk motor on a SSA bike.

Try look at the pics below. Anyways, I don't think any SSA swingarms or pumpkins out there could take the torque and the weight of a Valk.

Ok, I can see where you're talking , but I do agree that you'd be hard pressed to get a ssa to hold up to the flat 6

Isn't that what a Goldwing does?

A bone stock Ducati 1198 (nevermind a heavily breathed on Superbike) makes about 60 MORE HP and about the same torque as a Valk. I think that SSA could handle it.  Roll Eyes

Come on guys, for a cruiser the Valk is pretty fast but it's a dinosaur.

yes, torque-wise, but then the SSA from a Ducati 1198 also has to be hefty enough to handle the weight of a Valk. I just checked and the Ducati 1198 weighs less than 400 lbs. (170 kg) understandably in the interest of speed. Another obstacle is that the width of the swingarm has to match the Valk's frame dimension at the pivot. Even the Wing's swing arm that was used may have needed adapting to fit, dunno. I don't have any idea who the guy below is but he must have lots of mechanical experience under his belt and all the necessary equipment at his disposal to pull this off the way he did. Lumping on the sportsbike parts was just for what to keep his mind busy?! Also, note the different front wheel too. I doubt it that's a plug-n'-play item either.

Any sports bike above 600 beats a Harley. The reality is that big is not king the way it once was. Ever seen the rpm that sportsbike are hitting. Around 14,000. Valk redlines at 7k.

Oh I think the guy did a terrific job and you're right, I'm sure it wasn't easy. That said, it really doesn't have to handle the extra weight of a whole Valk, just the engine. And really, put a really fat guy on a Ducati (and I've seen it!) and a really thin guy on that hybrid bike and the weight is probably about equal.  Wink
