Just watched what was stated as a set of NEW Hondaline bag guard rails go from $205 with one minute to go in the auction to a final price of $330. With that same minute to go, I was prepared to go up to 252. I didn't stand a chance. lol.

Guess I'll order the aftermarket ones, which I can get shipped to my door for 273. Heavy sigh..

Sorry about that  Grin  i had a bid in at 300 then went to 330 and someone beat me out of them at 335. I really wanted those rails but someone wanted them more than i did. I was willing to go up to 400 but was stupid and thought i could get them cheaper. Saw a set last month go for over 600.

I gave $650.00 for a set of Hondaline saddlebag rails....My ridin' bud Lucky13 bought a set off Big Mike for $850.00 ....If you want them they are worth what someone is willing to pay . I'd pay it again cause in my minds eye they just add so much to the fat girl.

Apparently you do not know how to bid on Flea-Bay.

An item can have a $320 current bid, and you can bid your maximum, like $400.  You tell their system what your top dollar is and if someone beats your bid, it will automatically go up one bid on your maximum of $400.

My son buys stuff off of Flea-Bay all the time that way.     If he has a maximum of $400, and say the other bidders bid is $350, the software in Flea-Bay will increment your bid just enough to get the item.   Say for instance $350 is top, Flea-Bay will add a maximum of $5, so the item will be bought for $355.

He buys Benelli parts all the time to restore his 3 bikes.    Right now he has 2 running, 1 totally complete, 1 in process, and 1 that is either going to be a parts bike to finish the other one or another one to complete.   Depends on availability of parts.

Agree with Joe about the looks of the rails on the Valkyrie. Just gives the finishing touch. Paid 350 when Honda still had them, just over 200 for a used but perfect set from Solo1 for my 2nd Valk and over 600 from Big Mike for my 3rd Valk. Got lucky this past fall on a back up set for 300 delivered that is a close to perfect as they get.

I've got pictures of the knock offs from Texas on Fleabay .Dubs has them on his bike. They look decent he had to do some adjusting and bending to get them to fit right. Time will tell how the chrome holds up....I'll see if I can find those pictures or maybe Dubs will see this and hook y'all up.

I don't know who makes them. I bought them off some guy on Ebay who must have copied the OEM's.

There is a nice looking set on usa-biker.com for 263.20. I emailed them to make sure they still have them. I know some parts you order only for the company to come back and say the no longer have them.

I had a hard time spending the big bucks on them, but just had to have them.  The guy on fleabay seems to have a bunch of them.  He's releasing one at a time.  I bid on one set that was at about $145 and I went up to $400 and those are the ones that sold for $600+.  I bought a set from a member on here for 6 bills.  Excellent condition and well packaged - well, almost too well packaged  2funny  I hate that popcorn stuff!

They sure are purdy.....

The only aftermarket ones I've seen are the MC Enterprises set...Pic enclosed.

If the pic is representative of the actual product, they don't have the bars that go up and in front of the bags- I don't like the look near as much as the Hondaline set.

These are the ones I have, same picture from Ebay. And they ARE knockoffs.

I ordered a set from usa-biker.com on December 1.  As of Jan. 15 I still did not have them, no one would answer the phone, or return any phone messages or emails I sent.  Credit card company got my money back.  Just my experience with them.

When I saw what these items were going for, I imagine what I would do if I fell on hard times. I bought my I/S in Sept., of 06 all dressed up with the Honda line gear. Guess I was lucky, would love to have a set for the Tourer, but not so at that price.

I added the spoiler and Kury grips, fender extension and all other chrome already on it.

I picked up a pair off of Ebay last summer for $203.00 + $30 for shipping. they are from a guy in Texas via China.  not a bad part but the problem I see is there are guys selling that same rail for big bucks. the chances of someone being able to compare a made in China set with an oem set is getting to be the problem. there are people willing to take your money if you let them. beware!  T.P.

Chillerman,

Beautiful bike you have their. I'm really loving those MarkT pipes as well. Do you wear a helmet when you ride and how do you like their sound?

Thank You,

Mark, the sound is awesome! They are the 5" pipes and they have a deep, throaty growl to them. They are plenty loud even with the silencers in. I wear a helmet all the time and as MarkT will tell you with certain helmets any pipes will have a drone to them on the highway. I have to wear my full face and not my modular helmet with them.

I scored a set of like new original OEM saddlebag rails for $150 bucks on the "old" classifieds not long before they stopped them and went to the new classified format we have now.  Also got a brand new 3 piece set of side covers for $150 off of the old classifieds too.

I haven't seen any more sweet deals like that since we went to the new classified format.
