I stopped by the Chevrolet Dealership yesterday, for a look at the new Silverado 1500 pickup. Just for fun, I took it out for a test drive.. I wanted to sense that new "feel" before they become extinct. The salesman (a black man wearing an Obama "change" lapel pin) sat in the passenger seat describing the truck and all its "wonderful" options. The seats were of particular interest. He explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat. Feeling like messing with him, I mentioned that this must be a Republican truck. Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican truck. I explained that if it were an Obama truck, the seats would blow smoke up your ass year-round. I had to walk back to the dealership...damn guy had no sense of humor!

i would have had him write up an order to purchase, then in the last minute make that comment!!  that would really tick him off!!  (then he'd call the black panthers, and they'd put a million dollar death warrent out on your racist head!!)

If your serious about a 1/2 ton truck, look at the newly designed 2007-2012 toyota tundra with 5.7L in a DC 381 hp and 401 lbs. of torque - that thing goes and made in San Antonio TX with 80% American made parts more so than any of the other Big 3 1/2 ton trucks.  The price is very similar equipped to the chevy silverado crew cab and will hold their resale value better than all the rest of the 1/2 ton trucks on the market for sure.

I have had a new Tundra for a few months... love it... have always had Fords since there was a Ford mechanic in the family.  Now retired and in California, so no help.  Stick to Toyota!!!!   Even Consumer areports rate it good!!!
