Just received kevlar jeans from gussett jeans.  they fit great and have this thin bit of "woven kevlar" in seat, hips and knees.  but, they seem about the same as my regular jeans i normally ride with.

anyone with any thoughts or actual "experience" with kevlar jeans, these or others?  or other protective jeans?  Undecided

Never had Gusset.
Ive had others that had patches of Kevlar or leather (different brands) inside & they were too bulky and hot for summer riding. I may have to ck out Gusset.

I have Draggin jeans and I like them. I have not tested them myself but I have seen that they work.

Went down last year, broke my leg but no road rash so I guess they worked.

draggin jeans kevlar held at highway speed when I went over the oil patch and bounced down the road quite a ways, was also wearing the knee armor at the time

Milford Connector between 95 and the Merritt  going west

No injury except sore

My belt was white where the road wore it down                rode the Valk home

 Shocked

just a little rip in the knee denim but kevlar as I said held. Still wear the jeans sometimes under chaps in the winter

will try the diamond as the draggin are indeed warm

I've had the Defenders (Diamond Gusset) for four years. I like them, but if I walk a lot, they chafe. I like a layer under them.

I have the Diamond Gusset kevlar Defender jeans also.  They aren't bad in summer but I suspect that after a long ride,  they'll cause 'monkey butt  as the kevlar in the seat starts to develop hot spots

Protection seems good tho.'
