I ordered them and installed. Not so bright! Picture sure looks bright but  in real life it is a washout. I chose the green but still not very bright as compared to the super bright picture?? I needed to replace the stock ones anyhow as a couple had burnt out. So ordered new plain ones. Oh Well.

Windjammer,
I assume these were the instrument ights? I used the cool white ones. They did make a big difference and reduced the time at dusk when the numbers cannot been seen.

Ditto......I got the "cool white" bulbs too.  Makes my green numbered gauges look blue.  They're nice and bright at night.  I do alot of night riding back and forth to work.  I like 'em.   cooldude

Another +1 on the cool white ones.  I also ordered the green, red and blue just to play around and the white ones are best.

Still looking for the website but I think it was something like ledsuperbright.com

I bought one of these several years ago.  It's an LED board with something like 118 leds.  Mine is strictly the brake/running light, but I think you can get an integrated one, too.

I ordered the 1157-x30: 30-LED BAY 15D bulb- 1157-R30-WV:  1157 RED 100 degree from superbrightleds.com for my brake/tail light. It is brighter than the stock incandecent 1157. I also used this same bulb in the tunr signals when I converted them over to run/turn/brake. Now all three lights are the same brightness. The bulbs are $8.99 each. The people at superbright are great to deal with as far as returns and or replacements goes. The ship quick too.

I believe that everything here that's being discussed is for the Standard/Tourer.

My lady is a standard. I have been told that my brake light is not that bright during a bright day, this was yesterday. I may have to reconsider my tail light bulb selection or add lights to my leatherlike bags.

Often the OE bulb that came with the bike is a bit worn out after 12 years.  Start with a new 1157.

Or..........A 2357 tail/brake combination bulb, available at any auto parts store, will produce the same brightness for the tail light (3 lumens), but will produce 25% greater brightness for the brake light (40 lumens vs. 32 lumens).  (but less life)

Seems like an inexpensive alternative. I will look for a two pack, carrying the other for a spare. Thanks Jess.
