Ok, i like the fact i'd get 40k on a tire vs 6k, but the question i have is what size rear tire to the 01 girl and more importantly, i have not heard WHAT tire you use with it on the front.

The choices are many. You have much research ahead of you my son, the search feature is your friend. I got my Austone tire yesterday (didn't realize they were made in china). I still have several miles left on the P205/60R16 Potenza on the rear and just mounted a new Metzler 880 on the front last night.

Good Year Triple Tread w/36# on the rear
Metzler 880 w/45# on the front.
Have run this combination for over 100K.
I like the wider foot print from the front Metzler.
I have run several brands of car tires, and in my opinion, it makes no difference the brand as long as the sidewall isn't too stiff. Too stiff will toss ya around in the cracks and different pavement heights..

I put a Falken Ziex ZE-512 205/65R-16 on the rear last spring, and a D404 130/90-17 bias rear on the front. 12K miles later and they both look new. I used Dyna-beads to balance, and there's no cupping on either. The combo is good in the rain, even on paint, and no diff on dry roads. The D404 sings a bit, but the stereo drowns it out, so would Cobras or 2 Brothers exhaust. 40 PSI on both ends.

My Tourer has a Toyo Proxes TPT in 205/65-16 with Dynabeads on the rear and an Avon Cobra with Dynabeads on the front. The I/S has a Falken 512 in 205/60-16 with Ride On on the rear with a Metzler 880 on the front. It's time for the Metzler to get replaced. I've got an Avon AM26 rear tire being delivered this afternoon. It will go on the front with Ride On in it also tomorrow or Saturday.
