......if Mitt Romney put up a web site called WhiteAmericans.MittRomney.com and produced a video calling for all white people to unite together to vote for him?

Preposterous you say?!?  Balderdash!!!  Impossible in today's society and environment of racial harmony you say?

Ummmph.

Well.......the current and sitting POTUS has produced just such a video.  A video calling for all blacks to unite behind and vote for Barack Obama.

President Obama Announces the 2012 Launch of African Americans for Obamapowered by Aeva

Where the hell is the outrage over such a blatant demonstration of intentional race baiting and divisive racism ever exhibited by a sitting politican, much less the President of the United States of America.

Maybe this is old news, but I've never heard this before and have found it outrageous and inconceivable and unconscionable that a sitting POTUS would intentionaly solicit and target a single race of people to vote for him......and for him to think that it's OK to do so.   If this isn't blatant racisim, then I don't know what is.

btw......anybody need a new t-shirt?  (and I'm not affiliated with this co.)

WHITE AMERICANS FOR ROMNEY!!!!!   cooldude

Well......if Obama can do it.......

I'm from the Detroit area, and it is approximately 85% black.

Blacks here have traditionaly not voted enmass compared to white voters.

BO's message was (IMO) to get out and vote,...not just let others do it!

We already have enough racists posting here.

I disagree.  If it was aimed at just getting blacks out to vote, then he would have said just that, buuuut....of course, he didn't.  He added that it was also about what kind of country we want this to be and went on by asking if we want a country where only a few do well......etc.  Clearly a jab at the other party.  ALSO, it's specifically called African Americans for Obama.

Thanks for posting that BF.  Its hard to believe the depths of the double standard this administration is harboring.  The sad part is like you said, there is no outrage, we are used to it already expect it even and they can get away with it no matter how blatant so formal complaints dont go anywhere.  Did you hear what he said at the end......We have to decide what kind of country we are going to be........Hes already decided.....Socialist..........we need to say NO, He!! NO

I also believe that this is unprecedented.  I've never seen a Jews for Cantor campaign, or an Italians for Guilliani campaign, or an Hispanics for Rivera campaign.  We all know that this is how most vote anyway, but I've never actually seen the candidate pander to their own "kind" (for lack of a better word) like this.

I kinda remember JFK taking an opposite position as he was the first catholic to run for Pres

This will hopefully backfire on Obama and wake up some of those who have gorged on the kool aid for so long.

I dont agree that all people of color will support Obama who IMHO is a racist socialist

My clients are almost universally opposed to him by now- that is to say anyone with a home who is a Landlord and struggling to hold on to what they have are against free handouts, free medical and freedom to hurt other people because they are darker skinned that others. Unless you are really disabled, you work or get the hell out of NY is the common theme I hear from most everyone these days

Most of my clients are darker skinned than me, American African and Caribbean Black Brown and mixed, Guyanese, Cuban and Hispanic with some Italian, Irish and German are the folks in my neighborhood.  Good people who are trying to raise kids and pay their taxes  frustrated with the government holding them down     YMMV of course and you are all entitled to your opinions

I take offense at that George, I know you didn't specifically cal ME a racist, but you imply that anyone who questions the almighty obummer's motives is a racist.  I contend that we have very few racist posting here, just concerned Americans who are appalled by what is happening to their beloved country.  I couldn't give a rat's patootie what color the dude (or Dudette) is in the white house, I just want them to be honest and have the best interests of  this country and it's citizens as their main concern.  I assure you that the current administration isn't/does not.  You may label me racist if you wish, but I'm dead set opposed to Obammy getting another 4 years to destroy our country and way of life.

Sorry, but how is this different than the republican candidate targeting the bible thumper's to rally to his banner?  ???

There are many ethnic groups in this country, for him to speak to his own is no crime. He has focused on several, including women at different times.

Did you listen to the message? hard work, responsibility, self reliance, sounds like a good republican to me. Grin

I have been called a racist by people that don't agree with me. So what, ingnorance knows no ethnic, economic, and religious bounds.

BO is pitching to blacks that don't or haven't bothered to vote in past elections. There is nothing subversive, illegal, or intolerant about that.

I, by the way am very involved in local and state politics, and I am the product of immigrant parents that taught me to listen to others but think for myself.

If you don't agree with the policies of this administration, don't bitch about it, get involved.

I totally agree with BF and the majority. If Romney done the same as BO, there would be such an outcry he would have to pack his bags and go home! If Romney pandered the whites for their votes with a caucasion website blacks would label him a racist. Yes where is the outcry, it is such a double standard.

One thing that most have seemed to miss.

Rommney is trying to be the Republican canidate for the Presidentcy.
Obama is the current President.

To be a candidate for a public office, one needs to appeal to the widest group of potential voters.
Yet any current office holder needs to appeal (and keep) to those that helped him win the election.

Do I really have to explain it to you?

It's different because the "bible thumper's" are a group of like minded people represented by their common beliefs that are quite likely represented by a varying portion of the society and not made up specifically of one race.

This is different because Obama has targeted not a group of like minded people with common interests, ideas and goals, but a RACE of people to vote for him......hence the word RACISISM.  By targeting one race of people and excluding all others is by it's very definition........RACIST.

There is no other way to explain it.

The kind of changes we need are the opposite of what Obama wants.

We need less government...............Obama wants much much more
We need a fair tax, so more than half the people dont pay zero but still get a return...................Obama wants free riders and the rich to pay for it.  We need a domestic energy plan.......Obama wants to send our money to people that hate us.  We need Better education and technology........Obama wants easier classes and imported technology (from China)  We need sucess based on excellence.........Obama wants eveyone to be the same and everyone to depend on the government.  We need to secure our borders...........Obama doesnt even want borders.......it goes on and on and on and on

Yes he and his wife are both racist IMO so the video is no shock to me. Among blacks his approval ratings was 95% the last I checked. If he can get most of the black and minority and tree hugging liberal votes he'll will be a two term prez.

I'm not a racist and race shouldn't even be an issue. We need a very smart man, not a smooth, cool, slick talking prez. I think a man smart enought to become a self made multi- millonaire and  of good moral character fits the bill.

Paxton.......I don't know the validity of this man's claims, and it mostly sounds like hearsay, but if true, then it only goes to confirm the first video in this thread.

Paxton, you have the right to vote for someone like that if you want, but the rest of us have a right (and a responsibility) to vote them out.

Keep drinkin' that Kool Aid Paxton......I hear it taste better the more you swallow.   Roll Eyes

When a  couple attends a church for 20 years and listens to the venom that spews from their Rev. Jereimiah Wright "God Damming" America hating whitey they had to believe it.

Pastor: God Damn America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11

Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism."

In a campaign appearance earlier this month, Sen. Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.

Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."

An ABC News review of dozens of Rev. Wright's sermons, offered for sale by the church, found repeated denunciations of the U.S. based on what he described as his reading of the Gospels and the treatment of black Americans.

"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism.

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.

Sen. Obama told the New York Times he was not at the church on the day of Rev. Wright's 9/11 sermon. "The violence of 9/11 was inexcusable and without justification," Obama said in a recent interview. "It sounds like he was trying to be provocative," Obama told the paper.

Rev. Wright, who announced his retirement last month, has built a large and loyal following at his church with his mesmerizing sermons, mixing traditional spiritual content and his views on contemporary issues.

"I wouldn't call it radical. I call it being black in America," said one congregation member outside the church last Sunday.

"He has impacted the life of Barack Obama so much so that he wants to portray that feeling he got from Rev. Wright onto the country because we all need something positive," said another member of the congregation.

Rev. Wright, who declined to be interviewed by ABC News, is considered one of the country's 10 most influential black pastors, according to members of the Obama campaign.

Obama has praised at least one aspect of Rev. Wright's approach, referring to his "social gospel" and his focus on Africa, "and I agree with him on that."

Sen. Obama declined to comment on Rev. Wright's denunciations of the United States, but a campaign religious adviser, Shaun Casey, appearing on "Good Morning America" Thursday, said Obama "had repudiated" those comments.

In a statement to ABCNews.com, Obama's press spokesman Bill Burton said, "Sen. Obama has said repeatedly that personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics, whether they're offered from a platform at a rally or the pulpit of a church. Sen. Obama does not think of the pastor of his church in political terms. Like a member of his family, there are things he says with which Sen. Obama deeply disagrees. But now that he is retired, that doesn't detract from Sen. Obama's affection for Rev. Wright or his appreciation for the good works he has done."

Grin

if only he really believed that, he wants them angry and disadvantaged and therefore motivated.
