JUST ABOUT THE TIME YOU THINK WHAT MORE CAN HAPPEN – WELL IT NEVER SEEMS TO END! They're Coming...this will make your day!
Kareem ShoraArif Alikhan
Well, boys and girls, today the fox is guarding the hen house. The wolves will be herding the sheep! Obama appointed two devout Muslims to homeland security posts.
Obama and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus , Syria , as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).
NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant...? hhhmmm......Just wondering.
Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security-positions? Doesn't this make you feel safer already? That should make our homeland much safer, huh!?

Micheal Monsoor USN, Medal of Honor recipient http://www.navy.mil/moh/monsoor/deeds not words. I read his story. Brave man indeed. Then I read his bio: Though he carried himself in a calm and composed fashion, he constantly led the charge to bring the fight to the enemy. His teammates recall his sense of loyalty to God, family, and his team. He attended Catholic Mass devotionally before operations, and often spoke lovingly of his family - his older brother, a police officer and former Marine for whom he held great respect; his sister, a nurse; and his younger brother, a college football player. Not muslim.

How about the devout muslim on a Texas military base killed his own men? Just read their quran and you'll find it is far from a peaceful religion. They sure don't "love your neighbor as yourself"!

RIDE HARD - RIDE SAFE The far afield of either side have one thing in common; they both want you to be afraid because fear is the most powerful motivator known to man. This is among the reasons (yes, there's more than one) why they're not as different from one another as each would have you believe. Both sides want control and will do anything to get it. In the process they infect the weak and use them as hosts to spread fear. None of this means that there aren't things to fear in this country and in this world. But there's a difference between being wary and living in constant fear. It's obvious from reading people's "thoughts" who among us will die white-knuckled in a quiet room.

For anyone to believe otherwise is living in a make believe world. I hope and pray it NEVER happens! Hot of the press today alkida plans to plant fire bombs and biological weapons in the deep woods of Montana, Wyoming and all backwoods of the US because of the drought we're having. Check me out. This is one war I'm afraid we'll never win bc it's so unconventional. No, I fear no man but fear God. We should not live in fear but we also must be very watchful and vigilant. When JFK was running for office is was a big deal that he was a devout Catholic...... Everyone was afraid (well. all those people who are afraid of everyone not their cup of tea) that he would take orders from the Pope and Church. He eventually went to meet the Pope and made it a point to Shake the Popes hand... not Kiss the ring........ Of Course if JFK had his 2nd term he would have made the country follow the Pope and Catholicism and started a Crusade in the Middle East so we wouldn't have had Viet Nam or the trouble with Muslims we have now..... 'Cause thats what Presidents do in their last term- let their real agenda come out. Thats why Arms makers of the world had the Russians hire the Mob to assassinate him so they could keep selling Russian weapons to the Chinese and Egypt...... Well thats what I read on the InterWeb thingy...... So it must be true..... B

The would-be destructors were five white anarchists. Not Islamic extremists. The next one may be some radical "Christian" extremist group for all we know. And I was not in NYC for 9/11 but I did live there for almost two years and I knew at least one person who died that day.

Yes there are a lot of extremists that go by different names. Timothy McVeigh comes to mind, the new black panthers, kkk, just name it. But remember the 19 from Saudi any yes they are trying (alkida) to recruit white americans....now that is scary! Sorry to hear about your friend that was in the 2,792 people that were slaughtered.

I agree with Pax on this but was also thinking what would a radical Christian group really look like? Alot of images came to mind then I sorted them out some disturbing others rediculous but then the real Christian group came to mind. It would be a group that prays for people and this nation. That raises the dead in prayer and power that heal the sick and we see the lame walk. The president would walk in the honor that was bestowed upon him by God and not a liar or fear the special interests. That would look out for the good of his fellow man and strike down laws that are contrary to our constitution. That would not allow special interest groups or the bankers or power players prey on the individual. That would make Congress take on the tasks for which it was made. I could go on but the concept of a real Christian extremest group would be refreshing. Not scary, as for the Pope I hate to say it but the Bible talks about the new world order and the Pope will be the head. Most have no idea what a real Christian looks like, and hang a moniker on some white self serving group. The model of the evil ruler Zec 11:16 "For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or sustain the one standing, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs. The real Christians power 2Ch 7:14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Remember when if you were morally compromised in any way that it would disqualify you from serving in office? How is it that it now seems to be a requirement. We have not been around that long how is it that we could have come so far off track.

The crusades come to mind. By the way for all you "christians", which side is "god" on. If he was on your side why did he allow the planes to hit the towers. Just stirring the pot.

The Phelps clan. Look no further. Every time they show up at a funeral for a fallen soldier it's a terrorist attack. If they had the means they go much further.

I agree with Robert. There can be a huge difference between someone who claims to be a christian & a true christian. As a true christian, the activities of the Phelps clan (Westboro Baptist Church) disgusts me. There is no place for that type of behavior in christianity.

The answers that some gave were exactly why I asked the question, and I must admit this was one of my thoughts, but I discounted it as the work of man not a true follower of Jesus. In reality Jesus was the head of a radical Christian group of the time. All the ruling parties at the time hated Him for many reasons but he never preached violence but always healed the sick cast out demons and broke the bondages of the enemy. There were arrest warrants issued for His capture dead or alive and the times He lived in were worse than ours. He could have at any time over thrown the government but didn't that wasn't His calling to do. His followers were killed sooner or later but the message continued on. This to me is a radical Christian group not the ones that take arms up or kill people that is work of the devil parading around like a Christian. This is what the Bible calls all to do, above all Jesus taught compassion for your fellow man not killing them in word or deed. Wouldn't it be nice to have a government that gave a hoot about the people they served. Although our founders were at different levels in regard to their Christianity the majority were Christians and all were brought up or at very least exposed to Christian values. They could look beyond themselves and establish things that were needed to give a country a start to greatness that it has achieved. It took self sacrifice and wisdom to get the ball rolling along with the providence that God Himself bestowed on this country. I have not seen this in hardly any of our leaders and so far, especially not in Obama or his appointees, but I long to see the values and honor bestowed in the office of President and in this country. Not in religious fervor but in honorable men and women who serve in the honesty of their heart.

I know a number of Muslims who are good people that are disgusted with Islamic extremism. I don't think that Islam is by default an evil religion. I think that it's a prevalent religion in a part of the world that has not advanced far beyond the stone age and as such, their environment and general way of life has as much of an affect on their behavior (if not more) than their religion does. In that part of the world might makes right, end of story. It's much like the way Christianity was practiced in the dark ages. They just haven't advanced as a culture as far as we have. Do you blame Christianity for the inquisition and the charred corpses of "witches" and heretics? Or do you blame the guy signing the orders and turning the screws? Think about it before answering. So I would say that your argument applies to both. A question for all of the paranoid anti-Islamists here; (you know who you are) how many Muslims do you actually know personally? Not in passing either, I mean KNOW intimately. Or is everything you do based only on what you read and hear?

Says you! And they, the WBC, think their behavior is completely Christian. They believe, as most Christians do, that it is their responsibility to show everyone else the "right" way to be. Just as every other Christian entity that took over, enslaved, and "converted" Indians in central America and elsewhere did. Religion is subjective. Everyone believes differently and take it as far as they wish to take it (reformed, moderate, conservative, orthodox, etc). Who's to say who is right and who is wrong? As we continually hear that the bible is not to be taken literally, then interpretation of a book that has played telephone for 2000 years is pretty much a toss up.

I agree with Pax on this but was also thinking what would a radical Christian group really look like?
The Phelps clan. Look no further. Every time they show up at a funeral for a fallen soldier it's a terrorist attack. If they had the means they go much further. bingo, that's about as extreem as it gets.

Been over this before so the short answer on Muslims, its not peaceful at all. Although there are allot of good Muslims, but like Christians that dont follow the Bible are they really Muslims. If not then why be identified as or with a religion, oh thats the rub its religious for the sake of religion not relationship I get it. If you have to do everything and there is no benefit except other believers then why join a religious group at all. If you are a true follower of Christ then you would hold to a higher standard. Not to be thrown in someones face, but a way of life, if anyone else feels condemned by it maybe theres a problem they need to check out with themselves. If the Christian doesn't hold up to the standard then maybe he needs a heart check.

Who or what threatens your sense of security? Yes, I've read all the postings below but I can't muster the energy to feel afraid. Perhaps it has to do w/-the fact that I just rode the Dragon and it makes me fearless! Not afraid, just prepared and waiting for the inevitable. Hoser ???
