Benefit ride met at the local harley shop. Just to kill time I walked
thru the showroom and looked around. Lots of Sportsters and a few
used rides, including a few Shadows. Saw a Street Glide with custom
paint (2 tone orange/metal flake orange) and chrome in a lot of places.
Looked at the price tag and it came up to $28,300. I waited around
for a few minutes hoping a salesman would pass my way but it never
happened. I was gonna offer him my 98 Valk and $1500 cash IF he
would put a lifetime warranty on the harley. He probably wouldn't
have accepted it anyway. If you know me you already know that I'll
never own a harley for more than a few days (as long as it takes to
sell one I get for free) but I will give them credit....their paint and chrome
looks really good. Maybe that's why a lot of "owners" don't ride...afraid
to get them dirty. YMMV.
