though I just ordered a "back off" unit yesterday, I just found this bulb at www.superbrightleds.com, it apparently integrates the flasher into the bulb.  Anybody have any experience with this?  Even at $20 a piece it would still be more economical then replacing the stock bulbs with LED.s and adding a "back-off" module for a double tail light.  Not to mention easier installation.

Edit!!  I also checked on the inside (tail light) bulb, I found a comment that it is a standard 168 / 194 wedge bulb; I have a 194 LED replacement bulb from my last bike and it is about twice as big as the one in the bike.  Looks like a need something with a 4.5mm base.  Can't see a number on it, anyone got one?  Number that is.

Ordered and received the 3157 wedge base and am sending them back.  I had two problems; one being that it is a tight beam bulb and with the bulb mounted sideways in the housing, there would be very little light going where it is supposed to.  Didn't help that the LED wedge base does not match the all glass bulb with glass wedge base.  I could get it to come on but it wouldn't stay in the socket.

I did find a LED tail light replacement, 74-RHP3 micro wedge.  Kind of a pain to install, only slightly brighter, but with one of mine burned out I needed something anyway and if the life expectancy of the things are what they say they are, I'll never have to replace them again.

I'll update when I figure the brake light out.
