thanks.....The Ballpark is definitely dated.  Surprising it is a AAA park.  Guess they don't get much support?

I use Elements 7 and really need to understand it better especially for converting raw images. I have to take the time to get expert at it as I'm taking pics of my sons wedding next year and raw is the way to go.

I'm just a picture taker compared to the artistry that you have mastered. Keep 'em coming.

Raw is definitely the best way to capture.  I have my camera set to RAW MAX and also JPEG small.  If you can do both, it is good as you can have a small file to view quickly, and if no edits are really needed, fine for web, etc.

As to your version of Elements, I'd suggest an upgrade.  If you can still find 9, go for that as it was the first version that allowed layer masks, which is almost a necessity for ease in editing.  Version 10, in my opinion, didn't offer much improvement over 9.  Up until a year ago, I was still using v2, as I wasn't doing much digital.

Any other questions please let me know.

Yeas, I've been thinking about upgrading to Elements 9 or 10.  Sounds like 9 would be better for me and probably cheaper than 10.

Yes, both my 30D and 40D will take raw max plus jpeg.  My cards are fast enough to download  fairly quickly.  Thanks for the suggestion on Elements 9.
