I sold mine however with 60 psi it would bounce like a bad set of dice going down the road...I pulled mine to The Outer Banks with a Goldwing and the ol'lady had it packed to the max....Best I remember I ran 40 psi in the tires and it did fine.

Thanks Smokin'......
Obviously, I will be trailerin' it out West. I"m finding plenty of spots for Free Camping. That in itself will pay for the difference in MPG, plus it will enable me to bring larger items for cooking.

I've taken my trailer on many a trip, some as long as 5k miles. When I bought my trailer, it had nearly bald tires on it. The seller told me they were brand new and has only been on one 3k mile trip. He had aired them up to 60 lbs like the tires said and the pressure had caused them to wear like that. He told me he had called the mfg'r and they told him that 20 lbs was what they recommended. I've done that with the new tires and after 2 trips to Sturgis and several smaller trips, they still look like new. No problems whatsoever and can't tell the trailer is back there.

When it says on the sidewall of a tire that it can be inflated to a max pressure of xx psi, that doesn't mean that you should run that pressure all the time. The MAX pressure is what the manufacturer says the tire can be inflated to when carrying the MAX load that the tire is rated for.

Funny thing about the load.....It says when pulling with MC, 200 Pounds is max. But if pulling with a car, 500#'s is Max.
If it is only loaded half, or 100 pounds, will 30 psi be fine???

I used to run about 40-45 psi in my small trailer until I stopped at my brothers and who gave me several dozen eggs to pass along to my son. By the time I had rode from Foxhome, MN to Minneapolis, MN I had several dozen scrambled eggs. Now I run about 25 psi. I'm also thinking about taking out one of the leaf springs.

Hey gordo,
25psi is about what I use with my HF Tag-A-Long trailer. Takes the bounce out of it but still enough pressure for the tires/load.

The guy that ran with me 2 Weeks ago to key West came from Chattanooga. He had 27 pounds in his 8" and we took 95 down then back up 75. It was very hot. He set his cruise on 83 down and back on the big road. We went 100mph a couple of times. He couldn't tell it was back there. He had his wife on the back and got a lot better full mileage than me. He was also running 1000 less RPMs than me. Those 1700 Vaquero are nice bikes but it does run hot. Oh, and he had a car tire on the back

I have the 5.6 X 8" tires on mine and run 25psi all the time. More than that just makes them bounce more. I also removed one spring from my trailer to soften the ride.
