Bill, Thad is still on the prayer list at my church.

So he should almost have enough prayers daily to stop that vomiting.

Thoughts and prayers to you, Thad and all the rest of the family.....

Big  BF,

Sending prayers for you brother, and his entire family from Connecticut.    angel  My wife's cousin just gave bone marrow for her (cousin's) brother. They were a perfect match. Her brother is doing much better now. Still has a way to go, but any improvement is welcomed. I can tell from your posts how much you care for your brother. At this time he needs all the love and encouragement that he can get.

BigBF,
Prayers and good thoughts for your brother.

I routinely give blood..  often do "double red" or platelets.  I came across the info regarding bone marrow donation and found   getswabbed.org
Very easy... they send you a packet in the mail and you swab your cheek and return it.  I did it a year ago...  hoping someday I get a call because I am a good match for someone.
I encourage all that are healthy enough to donate,  get swabbed so you might save a life.

Update:
Thad completed his 7 days of chemo with no side effects then he started having some side effect of fever, rash and itching. He is still walking as he did 30 laps today. Since 9 days, he have walked over 25 miles. Right now he is just relaxing and doing some art.. He is not having visitors this weekend to monitor his side effects.

My brother and I have blood type O+

Today I got [Bone Marrow] kit from FedEx

Some of us were talking about this at BMDR...
If the results of the test show that BigBF is not a donor candidate, who else
would be a possible donor? Anyone with O+ blood? In other words, what
you should know first before you obtain the testing kit?

I went to LabCorp Yesterday Tuesday morning. I told lady I hate needle but gotta do it for my brother... The lady tried to poke around on my right arm trying to get the needle in my vein and she could not... I told her let me get up because I feel sick and I walk around a bit then I'm ok and I told her I have not eat yet I need to eat but can't do it until they draw my blood anyway when I return back to seat and different lady came and doing it but she wanted on left arm which I do not want but what can I do about it? nothing so she struggle and finally got in my vein and I feel sick and hold my hand on my forehead and elbow on chair arm rest. then all sudden I woke up and three lady is holding me and waking me. I thought WTF then I realized Oh I must have passed out jeez and I was all wet from sweating. Ladies said you have been seizure twice... WoW... I asked ladies did you finished the blood works? she said yes I said good its over whew! Anyway They already called 911 and 7 fireman (damn no firewomen) came over to check on me. I told them to check for my blood sugar was 153 I knew it was big drop in short time I had 217 just before I go to labcorp so dropped down from 217 to 153 and I told them I'm fine now and they wanted me to go to hospital I said no, I am ok I know my diabetes must have drop too far that's where I was shaking and sweating so that must be different and when I see my own blood in left arm and needle poke in then I passed out! oh boy I never had that before. Firemen refused to let me drive home so Fireman told me he will drive my truck home and I get to ride in big fire truck I thought why not and I get to ride in it and it was awesome! Now I am afraid of doing blood work again in future... I'm pissed off at myself oh well what can I do about it... I gotta give my brother my bone marrow if match. I guess they will have to use sledge hammer to knock me out and get over with it!

LOL Big BF!

Great story.   Too bad no FireWOMEN, huh?

Have sent in my sample too.  Odds are long, but maybe I could match your brother???  Hope so.

Just remember, he and all your family are in our thoughts and prayers every day.

Message from Thad
Hi y'all -

I got the result just a few minutes ago from a doctor. He said that there is no evidence of leukemia in my Day 14 Bone Marrow. Yah!

Now what? I have to wait for my blood counts to go up again. I'll have other BMB probably on Day 30 or so to confirm if I'm in remission. Doctor said I'll be very very bored here while waiting. I don't think so... I have art project to do. :-)

Oh, last week was my really terrible time because I have absolutely no energy left as I cannot sleep. I've been "fighting" with fever daily and some other weird stuff with medications. I'm all right now with low fever most of the time. Chilling is not my friend because it takes a lot of tenses on my muscles all over.

I managed to walk a total of 955 laps in 19 days with one "rest" day. Totaling over 36 miles. Woo-wee!

Message from his wife Jolynn

Thad told me this morning that he woke up and walked casual into his bathroom until he saw himself in mirror. He laughed so hard because he reminded himself of a baby monkey on the postcard or greeting cards. So that's why he asked me to take picture of himself with a banana.
