I bought the back off wig-wag brake controller and looking for the best place to tie it in.  Anybody have one?  Looks like there is plenty of room between the shell and the pan of the trunk, but it would seem to be a pain to disassemble.  Any suggestions?

On a secondary note; the tail/brake light bulb does not seem to have a standard bayonet fitting, anyone have a part number for a LED replacement?

Thanks,

Barend

Two screws and your tail light comes out. No need to pull trunk apart

 cooldude  Ditto that...

I spliced the controller in to the trunk light wires, and used a piece of sticky faced Velcro to secure it to the bottom of the trunk tub (inside the outer shell).  Been there for years, and works like a champ.

agreed on both counts, but the wig wag unit sends a different wire to each light and the split in the bikes wiring going to each light is under the pan with no room to pull it out ..... Cry

I know I couldn't figure out how to seperate the inner and outer tub (something about the opening latch on the bottom of the trunk), but I know I fished all the wires out of one of the tail light holes (Right one, if memory serves), spliced in the 'Back Off', and fished the wires back where they belonged...  Helps to have both tail lights removed.
