I went to use my CB last weekend and when I turned it on all I got on the dashboard
was the letters "er". Can't change channels, no squelch, nothing.  I'm guessing that
something went bad in the main unit. It's a Honda/Clarion unit that was on the I/S when I
bought it 3 years ago. The last time I used it was last summer. I checked for loose connections and found nothing. I have an email off to Clarion, but no reply as of yet.
Anybody else have this type of problem ??

take the seat off. unplug the large plugs coming from the radio. spray with electronic spray if you want,  plug them back in.

try again.  cooldude

also spray some cleaner into the switches (with the power off) wiggle them back and forth a few times.

Every once in a while I get that too. I just turn off the system and turn it back on. That ALWAYS fixes it, at least on my bike it does. cooldude
