I inquired with Golan today about an alternate solution to Pingle's petcock and they recommended their 76-312F-CL petcock for the Valkyrie.  This model has the long fuel pickup tube that matches the Honda's petcock length so you don't lose any of your reserve fuel capacity.

I did a Google search and have not been able to locate a distributor of this model.  Has anyone purchased one?  Where?

Thanks,
Steve

FWIW, I extended my Pingel using the brass pickup tube from the OEM P/C, and duplicated the original length. Took me about 3/4 hour total to measure, cut, and then used a soldering gun to seal the tubes together. So my reserve capacity on the 2k I/S stayed the same. I do believe the Golan is cheaper though.

I just ordered that petcock from golan this morning , Also ordered a mini inline filter . I'm tired of messing with the stock petcock . I had pingel ordered from JC Whitney but they are out of stock . Lots of guys on VRCC recommended the Golan so I went with it . Good luck

Thanks for the feedback.  I was attracted to this Golan model because you don't have to modify the fuel pickup tube.  I do see that it's a little more pricey than the Pingel.

All Golan petcocks are made from brass and stainless steel.

I installed the exact Golan petcock and micro filter you described except mine is black.  Great piece but my reserve is still less than stock.  Not a big deal for me but just a heads up.  I figure I have about 3/4 or a gallon on reserve.

Golan actually makes petcocks with an extended pickup tube.  Available in either anodized aluminum or chrome.
