Yesterday had a rash as it seems he is alergic to the percoset. Already alergic to all sulfa drugs. he's toughing all this out on over the counter tylenol. Thanks for the toughts and wishes. Dave
Joe he said he was in a long wrapping curve and doesn't know why but got target fixated and went off into the grass. Brought it back up on the road and the bike was jumping back and forth but was about sideways and he says thinks lowsided. He keeps replaying and trying to remember. Wants me to take him and see the stretch of road on Saturday perhaps.

Tell that old coot, that an older coot said to heal fast and correctly. PS: Tell dad that Wing is rebuildable. Ya take the radiator cap off the old one and drive a new Wing under that cap and install. It has now been officially rebuilt. Did he laugh and grab his chest on that one? Just trying to get him to smile awhile. I took my get off 2 years earlier than he did, I was 69. I hit a rather large Dog. The Dog didn't live to tell about it. Anyway, tell Pops he is in my prayers and thoughts till he is healed and back riding.

Hes probably better off with the tylonol.
I got to find out that I would not ever get addicted to oxycodin. Busted ribs hurt, projectile vomiting with busted ribs is something you have to experiance to understand.

If he wants you to take him back and eyeball the circumstances, sounds like he wants to straighten that sucker out. From what you have written about him, I'd bet a ton he plans to do just that.

That target fixation is deadly, especially here. You can't look away for a second on that road - it is unforgiving of mistakes.
Glad he is recovering. Prayers on the way.

Here's hoping your Dad recovers fully and gets back on two wheels! While he's uncomfortable now, tell him that by getting by without the percoset, he's saving himself a multi-day headache when the prescription runs out...

Glad your father will be ok. Percocet is ok but if he's still in the hospital then Dilaudid (sp) is the stuff. Here's hoping for a quick recovery. What are his plans for the GW? Is He still planning to ride after this? What is he planning to ride?

73 years old and rider of 32 years with never an accident to show in that time. When the guys he was riding with called me in the Critical Care Unit to see how he was doing, He said ask them if they're up to a ride come sunday. He's a tuff old bird and I love him. Helped me get my first bike when i was 16. He had a small amount of bleeding on the brain that stopped. 2 breaks in his right ankle 5 broke ribs a fractured scapula (sp?) and head to toe road rash. He's in a ton of pain but healing. Here's the totaled wing
Best thing about this situation is that he's healing...Very sorry to hear this Dave. My wife and I will continue to pray for you dad.

So sorry to hear about your Dad's accident. I hope he heals fast. After my accident in which a 17 yr old girl blew a stop sign and I T-boned her, I've tried a thousand times to remember just before, during, and after the crash. The ole memory doesn't want to bring it back to the forefront. It's possible the same will happen with your Dad. I wish him well on his recovery!

Sorry to hear about your Dad's crash. He is a lucky man that he is not hurt worse than he is. He sounds like a very proud and strong man. He'll need a lot of support and love as he gets his health back. Prayers being sent for his complete and speedy recovery from Connecticut!
