I was sitting in my recliner at 9:00am this morning and saw a post by Thumper
that he was leading the N.Ga. motorcycle club up to the dragon, they'd be there
for lunch around noon-thirty... then Joe posted that he might show up too...

I know a cool road to bypass Franklin - Sanderstown Road - for anyone who
dislikes slogging through Franklin...  cooldude

I got to the Dragon and filled up on gas, and there came Joe... then Ray (Razor)
showed up... then the Georgia boys... we all had some hamburgers and told some
stories and then Ray left back for Tennessee, the Georgia boys headed... over the dragon
I think... me and Joe went off in search of Yellow Creek Road, a road I've been wanting to
check out for a while. I turned on the little Camera as we were leaving the parking lot at the
dragon...

Its battery almost lasted until we left the parking lot (drat - more good pictures
missed, Yellowcreek Road is awesome...)...

Most of the way down Yellowcreek, we stopped at a switchback next to (I guess) Yellow
Creek.

We started wondering where the poorly paved road that shot out from the middle of the
switchback went... so we found out...

Pictures don't do justice to the awesomeness of the views from this road (Old Field Gap Road)...

Old Field Gap finally ran into some other road, we picked a direction and it dead ended
at a powerstation we always see from across the lake when riding up 28...

We headed back the other way and came out on 129 near where Yellowcreek road
comes out had we stayed on it. We zoomed off to the bridge near the dam
they used in the Harrison Ford movie "The Fugitive", shook hands and headed off
to our respective homes... always good riding with Joe  cooldude

I stopped at Wheelers on the way out of Robbinsville, and talked to a guy with
a nice Rune... he had those hiway pegs that look like spiders have attacked the
valve covers, and a nice (Corbin?) seat with a backrest... looked real comfy...

Before you got to the dead end there's a road to the right that will bring you into the back of Fontana Village.

Old Field Rd is like a Deals Gap for dual sports. I have zipped and zoomed along there on my KLR quite a few times.

Buy Cindy a new riding mower and problem solved.

Heres the kicker, let her pay the payments, or say Merry Christmas as you hand her the keys to that lwan mower.

It's worth a try.

Or better yet pay Gordon to come mow it,

He's got 2 riders and would give him something to do and earn a little extra money for riding.

Yes I am consatantly making huge business decisions.
