put a Stebil horn on your bike.  Its 139db.  Ride up next to the chick texting and give a good blast.  I had one actually throw the phone into the back seat and grab the wheel with both hands bracing for the 18 wheeler impact...........bet she thinks about it next time.  I had a dude almost crap himself when I blasted him as he texted himself right through a redlight without looking.  He slowed down enough to get along side of me and show me his turned OFF phone, and he gave me the slash across the throat sign, like no more texting and driving.  He was still pale

Yesterday I was turning left from a one way to a 2 way and there were 2 turn lanes, I was in the right most turn lane from the curb- a turn or go straight lane..... On my left was a kid in a Small Red Chevy POS in the left turn only lane... he had the music going and a phone in his hand.....

As soon as I saw it I knew what was coming.....

Light turns green and of course, he heads for the outer most lane of a 2 lane opportunity...

MY LANE....... starts to come over into what is my lane and he has already committed to his turn...

Thats when he gets a LONG Toot from double Stebels........

His head came around SOOOOO fast, I thought it was going to make a full 360 before it stopped!!!!!!!
It helped his windows were open. He also hits the brakes cause he thought a train was gonna hit him or something......

He still completely cut me off because the car behind him had already occupied the lane he should have been in, but I had been ready for it and let him in front of me.  I know he knew I was there at the light because I gave him the "hairy eyeball" when he looked over..... but he might have though I was going straight, but still should have gone to the correct lane to complete the turn....

Next light, He hangs out the window and says "Sorry, really Sorry!"... the phone wasn't in his hand anymore either....

I think he will think twice in that situation again..... I hope..

I have heard Chrisj CMA's Stebil.  I've got an old Stebil on my bike that's probably 15 years old and sounds anemic next to Jeff's Stebil. 

Trust me when I say I'm gonna get me a new Stebil like Jeff's.

The sad part is, that memory of the time they almost got hit by a "train" will only last for a few fleeting moments, and they'll be back on that cursed phone before you know it.

They recently passed a law here in PA that prohibits people "communicating via text based communication" while driving (this includes text messages, emails, facebook posts, etc).  What do the morons do now?  Instead of holding the phone up at steering wheel level where they can kinda see the road, they hide it in their laps where there's no chance that peripheral vision will save their dumb ass from a tractor trailer, or ours from them.

When the car starts rolling the devuice needs to be DISABLED. It's so freaking simple it wouldn't hurt and deaths from stoopid people would be way down. People texting making or receicing a phone call trying to read a Kindle and feed their faces DO NOT have any right whatsoever to harm or kill me in a PREVENTABLE accident. Granted-we can't get all the idiots off the road but this would be a start. And mobile device use while driving is not a privilige or a right. Flame suit on. RIDE SAFE.

I bought two electric horns from harbor freight for $9.99 .They are louder than the steble horn I had and cheaper.One is mounted where the old stock horn was and the other is mounted on the other side in the same spot.I even bought a set for my car

sometimes it's not even a cell, the last time I blasted a girl for invading my lane she failed to yield getting on a roundabout. I was watching her she never even looked left before rolling on in. she was about 4' from my rolo 128db  airhorns, I hope she had clean underwear!

in '04 I rode my bike to inzane, from Oregon to Paducah, then to Virginia back to Oregon. 6,000 miles and I only need my horns one time in Kentuck.
