These are LED's but are extremely bright as shown in the video. Don't bother with the sound on the video, just watch it and you'll get an idea of the intensity. Comes with 19 different flash patterns. I plan to mount behind some red lenses so I can use them for brake light only. Figure it will help wake up those drivers with cell phones grafted to their ears.  tickedoff

As one person noted, I'll not have them flashing like an emergency vehicle. The boys in blue might think I'm trying to impersonate them.

I'm not sure they're legal here in AZ. Strobe front lights are reserved for LEO  police cars. The general public is limited to "modulating" headlights. That means the light doesn't turn completely off, but dims and brightens.

John.....you might wanna check with local law enforcement on their legality.  I used to have a license plate light from Custom Dynamics (the knight riderz light) mounted on my bike.  This one.....

Honda Valkyrie - LED turn and tag light modificationspowered by Aeva

I asked several leo's about it (sheriffs, local law, military police (I work on an AF base)) and all of them told me the same thing.......the brake modulating was OK, but the flashing/back and forth light was technically illegal.......HOWEVER......they ALL said the same thing about it......no leo would mess with me about it by itself as they all understand that I'm trying to be more visable, but if they were to catch me doing something stupid, then I'd get a ticket for it.

I took it off last winter.  No sense in fanning the flames in case I do get pulled over for doing something stupid.   Cheesy

First, I wouldn't ever use something like this in front, as stated in my original post....use them as brake lights. As for being in the back, I can have them set to flash a number of times then go steady. Not flashing back/forth....that's not acceptable with the cops.

I will be interested in what kind of red lens you come up with that won't wash out into a white flash when you use those. I have a set of those mounted in my headlight lenses on my truck (I can do so legally) and they are VERY white and bright. If they are like that on the back of your bike the first time you apply the brakes at night with a LEO behind you I predict it will be a problem. Personally I think they are too bright on the back of a bike to be shining directly into someones eyes behind you. Let us know how it works out!

I agree Dave, I'm sure it will take some experimenting. My plan was to find a spot in back that doesn't take away from the bike's appearance and mount them at a slight downward angle so it's not directly in the eyes of anyone following. If I can't get them to work out, so what....it will have been fun. I'll post pictures of the final results...assuming they can be used.
