Sooooo........I don't think the question has been answered yet.......why not move the Inzane to another time of the year when it's not a furnace outside?

Try'n to please most of the folks most of the time is almost impossible.  Doesn't matter where, when or why, someone isn't going to like something about it.  I'm assuming they considered the locations of the majority of the membership, the time most folks take time and picked somewhere central and a time frame in the middle of the season.

Location being  a pretty important part, we being motorcycle enthusist, we generally like curvy roads, therefore, Western Kansas isn't most likely gonna be selected.  I grew up out there, so I kind of know it's pretty flat, roads are straight and winds are normally a bit much.

Would I prefer a different location, can't say I do, would I prefer a different time, well, that depends on when.  Spring and Fall are great times for me but, that doesn't mean it is for the rest of the membership.  I'm think'n they did their homework and came up with a location and time frame they thought the most folks could attend.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

BF,
As I stated above, I broached the subject a few times in the years past.  One of the reasons/excuses was something about members having school age kids.... ???

These people don't have a grandma Jean or aunt Betty that can stay with the kids?  Jeez, if I had kids and the rally was in September and I wanted to go, you better damn well know I would figure out what to do with the rug rats for a week.  Hell, you could lease them out to the neighbors for house servants.  That would help make expenses for the trip.

Shoot, sometimes I could just sell my (step)kids outright. No lease, yours to own! Sometimes I might be willing to cut you a HELL of a deal.

Oldest is in rehab. Again. I seriously wouldn't sell my kids though.

I think. Roll Eyes

Come on guys, InZane HAS to be deep summer. Half you northern types haven't gotten your bikes out of the shed in the snowbank till late June, and ya have to put it back before the glacier comes back in early September.

Just a casual observation, but I'd suspect that the majority of the members here are into their 50's and 60's with some members either side of that.  Although I'm sure that there are some, I'd think that there's not alot of folks with little kids still at home that can't fend for themselves I'd think.

As I said before, I'd love to go to an Inzane, but to go in the dead heat of summer is something that I'd have to think about more then once before deciding to go or not.

Somewhere like Cherokee or Maggie Valley, NC in late Sept, early Oct sounds like heaven to me.

Sounds good to me.  I am sure they have very good reasons for their timing.

I am planning on being there no matter what the temperature.

Me and my bride will be there! If it's too hot to ride while there, we'll take the trolley. As long as the Hotel is A/C, and the beer is cold, I'm good to go.  cooldude

Bobby, it won't feel that hot to you. The lower humidty will make it seem a lot cooler to us who live down here of the coast. Really we go to Branson every year in July or August and most of the time it is ok. It will cool off quite a bit after the sun sets too.

maybe this will be seen at inzane for those with dirty Valks if the adm can free up a bit of cash for local talent to help out  If Gig is going that should be no problem he is my designated secretary spotter

NOTE  This is NOT Jabba   Grin

MY Valk is being delivered back home at lunchtime so I am working from home this morning
IT took about the same amount of time to get here as I took on the MC part of my trip
hopefully it is in the same condition as when it was loaded on the trailer

Have fun everyone, watch for chiggers and poison ivy on the pig trail signs and pig and chicken guts near Deer Ar  The roads were well paved and lots of fun when I was there 5 yrs ago and it aint all that hot except during the daytime

I live 30 miles from Eureka.  I'm honestly intrigued with the monthly averages that weather.com lists.  I've lived here for most of my life and I don't remember many July days that average a 90 high.  Anyway, I plan to be at InZane.  I look forward to meeting folks and riding.  I suggest planning most riding in the morning.  The coolest time of day will be before noon and after 11pm Smiley.  Noon through dark will just be hot.
I expect to plan accordingly, take precautions and enjoy!

For those that make it - I'll see you Monday am!
