I found something I thought was better to do (other than playing golf), my wife and I took a week long West Texas trip last week. (With an 8 year old and a 6 year old,  Grandsons). Not so, they darn near tore up the back of her car. They had never seen real mountains before, so I volunteered to take them with us on our 47th anniversary, please don't ever do that. Guatalupe Mountains, Carlsbad Caverns,  Big Bend, Fort Davis, San Antonio, still had fun, but we were all happy to get home. If you are ever in the Fabens area in West Texas try the Cattleman's Steak House, exit 49, FM 783 I think, then about 3 miles east of I-10 into the desert. Pricey and really good food.

Couple of lonely hitch hikers

A Scared bear hunter and a happy bear hunter

Cave Dwellers

This is what they past up for chicken and a hamburger.

2Lb. Porter House T-bone and 10oz. Rib Eye Steak

Thanks for the pics, Eli.  You have a couple of fine looking grandsons there.  They will remember this trip for all of their lives - I always treasured the trips my grandparents took me on.

If you are ever up that way, meander around the outside of the resturant for awhile if they are not opened yet. The aromas will drive you nuts and you won't forget that smell either. I don't know how long I will be at Inzane, but while I have an extended kitchen pass, I may ride up to North Carolina to visit a nephew, but that steak is also on my mind. Even a rack of beef ribs that I didn't get to relax on is calling. Enjoy

My first time Mofla was last year, really enjoyed that special event. Met a lot of faces that matched handles with good people behind them. I got derailed by an unexpected family visit that lasted into the late night, kept waiting for them to leave but too late.
That San Antonio is some kind of a city, with its touring atmosphere. Hope to meet you sometime in the future, maybe hop on the Diamond and ride up before long, or maybe Inzane.
