 Well folks, Yesterday Dad had a great afternoon, evening, night, and morning. The surgeon took him back to surgery and cleaned out his chest and CLOSED HIM UP. The doc said, "HIS HEART HANDLED IT WELL. We fill him full of antibiotics and getting him settled now. Hopefully we can get him off some of the other meds but that will be all in due time." There will be the normal probs along the way such as pneumonia and fevers but all in all I think we are looking down a road to recovery. Long one, but that's is A OK  in our book. RIGHT???? Keep praying folks. Thanks so much. Toni, Rita, and family

OUtstanding news! Don't ignore the fact that antibiotics also kill good gut bacteria along with the bad. The good needs to be replaced to help keep some of the bad things from giving him more problems. Keeping finger crossed here along with trying to keep the good thoughts and wishes going your way....
